1️⃣ Wimbledon Day 6 Super Single

Fixtures for: Saturday 5th July

Marin Cilic v Jaume Munar

Wimbledon

11:00

Over 40.5 Games

Whilst it is tempting to take that Marin Cilic performance against Jack Draper and believe that he could steamroller Jaume Munar, but there are plenty of reasons to believe that this will actually become a much tougher task.

Firstly, it is always difficult to back up a big result and performance like Cilic brought on Day 4, even if he is a Grand Slam champion and former Wimbledon finalist. Secondly, Jaume Munar is no mug on grass.

Munar took Carlos Alcaraz to 7-5 in the third set at Queen’s Club, the closest that anyone got to knocking out Alcaraz from that tournament all week. He has progressed to this round by winning a five-set epic against Alexander Bublik, who has many people’s dark horse for this tournament given his French Open run and his title win in Halle. He then backed this up with a comfortable straight-sets win, which would’ve been very handy to recharge his batteries for this battle.

The bookmakers have Cilic as a fairly strong favourite here, but it would be a surprise if the veteran Croatian had this all his own way. If this match goes to four sets the chances are that it will go over the 40.5 games, especially given the chances of at least one tiebreak set (13 games).

Fixtures for: Saturday 5th July

Daria Kasatkina v Liudmila Samsonova

Wimbledon

11:00

Liudmila Samsonova to Win

We would make Samsonova a little bit shorter in odds to win this match based on a few factors.

Kasatkina has had a fairly straightforward path to this path but had to take three sets to get through a slightly compromised Irina-Camelia Begu in the last round.

Samsonova has been impressive in not dropping a set in the tournament so far. She didn’t face a single break point in the last round, and only three against big talent and Eastbourne champion Maya Joint in the opening round, a match which Samsonova won 6-3 6-2.

Samsonova has better form on grass coming into the tournament, reaching the Berlin semi-finals, beating Naomi Osaka, Jessica Pegula, and Amanda Anisimova in that run.

Both women won grass court tournaments last year, so the standard should be high, but the match will definitely be on Samsonova’s racket. If the Russian plays well, then she should come out on top.

Mirra Andreeva v Hailey Baptiste

Wimbledon

13:00

Mirra Andreeva to Win

We know that Andreeva is an elite talent and will be at the top of the women’s game for a long time, but even she would accept that, at this stage, she is not the finished article, especially not on the grass of Wimbledon.

However, Hailey Baptiste would have to admit the same. Baptiste is actually excellent on the clay and can transition well to grass, but there isn’t quite enough in the Baptiste back catalogue of form to convince that she has the level to overcome the level of Andreeva here.

Baptiste only had the one grass win in 2025 coming into Wimbledon and two wins over the world #97 and #168 to get to this match against the world #7 isn’t enough proof of preparation to get the win here, and it feels as though Andreeva should be a touch shorter in price.

Jannik Sinner v Pedro Martinez

Wimbledon

13:30

Jannik Sinner to Win 3-0

Sinner is obviously a prohibitively short price for this match, but we can side with the world #1 in the sets market to bring him into the accumulator at a decent price.

Sinner has won his first two matches in straight sets, dropping only 12 games across the six sets, and, in all honesty, he looked at a canter in doing so. It is true that his draw has not been difficult, but, in Pedro Martinez, it doesn’t get all that much tougher.

The Spaniard lost in the opening round of both of his warm-up tournaments, Halle and Mallorca, and has had a fairly easy time of it at Wimbledon to get here. Wild card George Loffhagen took the first set in their encounter, and then fellow clay court specialist Mariano Navone was dispatched in straight sets.

Martinez is a good player, but Jannik Sinner is a few levels above and he is purring right now. It is difficult to see him losing a set at this stage, he made it all the way to the French Open final without losing a set, indeed the only sets he lost in Paris were the last three, he is on his way to doing something similar here.

Miomir Kecmanovic v Novak Djokovic

Wimbledon

16:20

Novak Djokovic to Win 3-0

Djokovic takes on fellow countryman Kecmanovic here and, again, we like his chances of getting this done with the minimum of fuss.

Djokovic dropped a set to Alexandre Muller in the opening round, but that seems to have spurred him on to greater heights. Dan Evans was dismissed with an awe-inspiring display of tennis, and this puts Djokovic very much on course for the latter stages.

It is always a bit of an awkward scenario when Djokovic faces his younger compatriots. Obviously they totally revere him, understandably so, and so it is always difficult to envisage them getting the better of Djokovic. There is a slight concern that there might be some sentimentality from Djokovic, but he has beaten Kecmanovic in 3 out of 3 previous encounters, dropping one set.

They met at Wimbledon in 2022, and Djokovic won that match 6-0 6-3 6-4, a repeat of that would see our bet in comfortably.
