PSG Goalkeeper to make 3+ Saves

Donnarumma is having to make 2.32 saves per 90 in the Champions League this season. We’re looking for that average to rise slightly here, and Arsenal have already shown that they can force a rise in this metric.

The Gunners drew five saves from Donnarumma in the first leg. The PSG keeper was arguably their most important player on the night, making smart saves to deny the likes of Martinelli and Trossard, which slowly cut at the confidence of Arsenal as the game went on.

Arsenal should be able to test the PSG keeper just as regularly here, seeing as they need at least two goals to get back into the game. Arsenal’s attacking prowess has been pretty consistent in the Champions League this season. They drew 3+ saves from Courtois in both legs of their quarter-final clash against Real Madrid.

Bukayo Saka to have 1+ Shots on Target

Saka has had 12 shots on target across his eight appearances in the Champions League this season (1.60 per 90). Arsenal are averaging 6.2 shots on target per game in the Champions League this season which is notably higher than their average in the Premier League (4.8).

Saka found the target in the first leg meeting between the sides and has scored five goals in the Champions League this season, more than any other Arsenal player. He’s also on penalties for Mikel Arteta’s side, which could offer Saka another route to the target.

PSG to Win

PSG have only lost two games at home in the Champions League this season, against Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, both by one goal margins. Not many have been able to overturn Luis Enrique’s side which is certainly the most balanced PSG side we have seen in recent memory.

Even in the losses that PSG have suffered at home in the Champions League this season, they were dominant. Only a world-class performance from Alisson denied them against Liverpool, and their defeat to Atletico Madrid came quite early on in the campaign, when PSG were still finding their feet under Enrique.

Arsenal lost the first leg and may lose out here due to a lack of firepower. Even if they are to find a goal to keep this tie alive, you wouldn’t bet against the likes of Dembele (if fit), Doue and Kvaratskhelia breaching the Arsenal backline, especially as the game enters the latter stages and Arsenal become desperate to find a way back into the tie.

Desire Doue to Score or Assist

Doue has registered five goal contributions across his six starts in the Champions League this season. He’s had a real breakthrough campaign, recording 24 goal contributions across his 49 appearances in all competitions.

Doue scored against Aston Villa in the home leg of PSG's quarter-final tie and stood out against Strasbourg last time out, coming off the bench to have two shots and create two chances. His ability to create chances regularly is a real strength of his game, he’s created 12 chances across his six starts in the Champions League this season (1.80 per 90).

Doue’s talent is unquestionable and he may get real joy against an Arsenal side that will have to sacrifice their defensive solidity a little bit here to try and find a way back into the tie. PSG have scored in all but one of their Champions League games this season (v Liverpool).

Thomas Partey to be Shown a Card

Partey was desperately missed in the first leg against PSG. If he had been available, we could be talking about a different scenario for Arsenal here, but his absence could be the factor which ensures the Gunners miss out on the final.

He was suspended for the first leg after picking up a caution in each of Arsenal’s quarter-final ties against Real Madrid. His role puts him directly in the limelight here to pick up another booking, he’ll have to deal with PSG in transition, which is no easy task and may force him to commit a few tactical fouls to keep Arsenal in the tie.

Partey has picked up four yellow cards in the Premier League this season to add to the three he has collected in the Champions League this term. He’s likely to be regularly tested not just by PSG on the break, but by their technically gifted midfield which has already shown that it can unlock Arsenal.

Over 4.5 Arsenal Corners

Arsenal really didn’t make enough of their height and physical advantage over PSG in the first leg, they ended the game with three corners which is well under their average for the season in the Champions League (5.46 per game).

Arsenal have had 5+ corners in seven of their 13 games in the Champions League this season. Their hand has been forced here by the first leg result, which means we should see a slightly more attacking-minded Arsenal side, especially in the latter stages if they haven’t found a way to breach the PSG backline.

Arsenal’s corner threat is a real strength, and Arteta will want his side to test this PSG side from these situations more regularly, as one of the clear advantages the North London side have over the Parisians.
