PSV Double Chance

PSV enter this clash in the midst of a superb run of form, and a win or draw here would extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches across all competitions. Peter Bosz’s men have won each of their last five in the Eredivisie, crucially including their clash with Feyenoord, which saw them level their rivals at the top of the league.

That said, there’s also plenty to suggest AZ Alkmaar could pose a real threat, which is why I prefer the double chance market, as opposed to the outrights.

The hosts were on a five-match winning streak themselves until their 3-1 midweek defeat to Crystal Palace in the Conference League.

Over 2.5 Goals

As many of us have learned the hard way, there’s no such thing as a certainty in football, but backing PSV’s matches to produce goals might be as close as you can get.

With only four points separating the Eredivisie’s top three, this is anyone’s game.

PSV are looking to extend their unbeaten streak to 10 games across all competitions, despite that run having included tough meetings with Ajax, Leverkusen, Feyenoord, and Napoli. It was their performance against the latter that stood out most, as they tore the reigning Italian champions apart en route to a 6-2 thrashing at home.

PSV were similarly ruthless in their last domestic outing, cruising to a 5-2 victory against Fortuna Sittard.

AZ Alkmaar’s season has followed a fascinating trajectory, featuring drastic swings in performance and momentum. 

They opened their season with eight wins, a draw, and just a single loss across all competitions before a significant downturn in form saw them go four games without a victory, despite playing against significantly weaker opposition.

Following that, a run of five consecutive victories reignited hopes but wasn’t enough to avoid defeat at Selhurst Park on Thursday, and it now remains to be seen if they’ll be able to recover quickly from their latest setback.
