Bayer Leverkusen were on a six-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga before they faced Bayern Munich last weekend, but the Bavarians made light work of Kasper Hjulmand’s side. Impressively, they were 3-0 up before half time despite having a rotated lineup, with a handful of first-choice players watching on from the bench. 

Nicolas Jackson and Serge Gnabry were on the scoresheet, before Loic Bade turned into his own net shortly before the break. Die Werkself played their strongest available XI, but only mustered up seven shots worth a measly 0.23 xG - Manuel Neuer had very little involvement, and made his only save of the game after 81 minutes. 

While PSG were equally as dominant at the weekend, registering 28 shots worth 2.29 xG against Nice, conceding just five attempts worth 0.48 xG in return, they had to rely on a 94th-minute winner to secure the three points. Goncalo Ramos provided the moment of inspiration after coming on from the bench, securing a much needed win for the Parisians, who had failed to win four of their six league games leading up to that weekend clash.

In the Champions League, PSG have been much more convincing, and they are top of the 36-team standings, having scored 13 goals from their three outings.

Luis Enrique was boosted at the weekend by the return of Fabian Ruiz, who was able to make a cameo off the bench. That means the Parisians will have the midfield trio of Ruiz, Joao Neves and Vitinha available to play together for the first time since mid-September. 

Desire Doue picked up a thigh injury against Lorient, so he will be unavailable alongside Illia Zabarnyi, who was sent off against Leverkusen in their last Champions League game. Marquinhos should slot in alongside Willian Pacho at the back. 

There are no new injury doubts for Bayern Munich, but Jamal Musiala seems to be nearing a return to first-team action. Kane, Olise and Diaz are set for a recall to the starting lineup, while Dayot Upamecano should partner Jonathan Tah at the back. Aleksandar Pavlovic and Leon Goretzka have featured interchangeably alongside Joshua Kimmich this season, but the former has started all three Champions League games and should get the nod from Vincent Kompany.
