Brentford v Arsenal
📅
Kick Off: Saturday 25th November at 17:30
🏆
Competition: Premier League
📺
Watch Live: TNT Sports 1, TNT Sports Ultimate
Saturday’s schedule is truly something to marvel at. If you haven’t got your fill from the 12:30 kick-off where Man City clash with Liverpool, or the five 3pm kick-offs including Newcastle v Chelsea, then you’ll want to tune into Brentford v Arsenal at 5.30pm.
The Bees enter the match having not lost a London derby in the Premier League in their last 14 (W8 D6), recently beating both West Ham and Chelsea. Despite this being a club-record run of results, they sit in 11th place in the table.
The Gunners are currently in 3rd place, having only lost one game in the Premier League this season: a 1-0 defeat at St James Park. Interestingly, it is only Arsenal who have currently got a better unbeaten record in London derbies, having not lost across their last 16 (W11 D5).
Both games these two played last season proved great for a bet, with plenty of goals, shots on target, and fouls. This article aims to cover the standout angles for a bet ahead of this game using the Brentford v Arsenal Cheat Sheet. If you like the look of any of the picks, then why not add them into your Brentford v Arsenal bet builder?

Now for our breakdown and match preview with some recommended bets…
⚽ Match stats: Arsenal’s strong defensive record could be put to test by The Bees
Arsenal have conceded the least goals so far this season, joint with Liverpool, and have had the most clean sheets (5). Their stats are equally as good when playing away from home, conceding just three goals; representing the least of any Premier League team this season. One of these goals was the highly controversial Newcastle goal, something which Arsenal fans will want to quickly forget…
Arteta has put a lot of his trust into David Raya as his first-choice keeper this season. However, as he is currently on loan from Brentford, he will be unable to play in Saturday’s clash. This will mean that Aaron Ramsdale will assume the role between the sticks.
Ramsdale has not been as defensively sound as Raya in the last games he has played, conceding three in his last game against West Ham, seeing the North Londoners knocked out of the Carabao Cup.
On the flip side of the coin, Brentford have looked strong up top this season, particularly when playing at home. The Bees have scored in eight of their last ten Premier League games and have found the back of the net in all home games so far.
Brentford have scored in four out of the six games they have played against Arsenal, and look likely to do the same on Saturday, especially given Arsenal are without their no. 1 keeper. Arsenal have scored in all but one game since July, meaning the both teams to score market looks good value here.
Predictions:
🥅 Both teams to score @ 1.73
🥅 Brentford to score 1+ goals @ 1.44
🥅 Brentford to score 2+ goals @ 3.30
🎯 Shooting stats: Mbeumo and Martinelli have had their shooting boots on recently
Bryan Mbeumo has been an exciting attacking threat to watch this season, with eight goal contributions to his name so far, the most of any Brentford player. The winger has been averaging 1.08 shots on target per 90 minutes, as well as 2.67 shots.
He has taken at least one shot on target in each of his last four Premier League appearances. Further, when playing at home, Mbeumo has taken a shot on target in all of his fixtures except one. As for shots, he has taken at least one shot in every game so far this season, with at least two in nine of his 12 matches.
Gabriel Martinelli has seen an equally strong shooting record for The Gunners, taking 0.82 shots on target and 2.93 shots per 90. He has taken one shot on target in each of his last three Premier League starts. Notably, he always seems to deliver in the bigger games, taking two shots on target and bagging himself a goal, all in just 50 minutes against City.
The Brazilian winger seems to like taking shots against Brentford. The last time he played against them Martinelli took three shots, with one hitting the target. The time before that he also registered a shot on target. There is no reason for his form won’t continue.
Predictions:
🚀 Bryan Mbeumo to have 1+ shots on target @ 1.73
🎯 Bryan Mbeumoto have 2+ Shots @ 1.36
🚀 Gabriel Martinelli to have 1+ shots on target @ 1.50
🎯 Gabriel Martinelli to have 2+ shots @ 1.33
⛳️ Corner stats: Arsenal rank first in corners taken this season
No Premier League team has taken more corners than Arsenal, who are averaging 8.75 corners for per game. Even when playing away from home, they average 8.60 corners for. This has meant that over 8.5 corners has landed in 100% of their away matches, with over 9.5 and over 10.5 landing in 60% of their away games.
Corners are clearly a big part of Arsenal’s game, with them crossing 82 of their 106 corners directly into the box. This has helped them rank as the team with the fourth-highest goals scored from headers this season.
Brentford, on the other hand, have been conceding a high number of corners. The Bees have seen an average of 5.25 corners against per match, with the over 8.5 corner line landing in 75% of their games.
Furthermore, out of the six times the teams have met, Arsenal would have won the corner match bet on five of those occasions. In other words, they took more corners than Brentford in five of their last six games against them. The game where they failed to do this saw the number of corners end as a tie.
Predictions:
⛳️ Arsenal corner match bet @ 1.44
⛳️ Over 8.5 match corners @ 1.36
⛳️ Over 9.5 match corners @ 1.70
🟨 Cards and Fouls stats: A card happy ref to spice things up
Tim Robinson is the man in charge of this clash. Over the games he has managed this season, Robinson has issued a staggering average of 5.29 yellow cards per game, awarding 24.29 fouls also on a per game basis. For a London derby such as this, where there are bound to be plenty of cards anyway, Robinson only serves as a catalyst for more drama.
Frank Onyeka sits as one of the top candidates for a booking, or fouls, on Saturday. The midfielder has been averaging 1.90 fouls per match, and has already seen himself pick up three bookings. The last time he played against Arsenal he committed a foul. However, he was lucky not to receive further punishment as he ran through the back of Reiss Nelson with no clear attempt to win the ball.
As for Arsenal, Eddie Nketiah looks to be the most likely player to be cautioned by Robinson. The forward is likely to start for Arsenal, and has committed 1.47 fouls per 90 minutes this season. This has seen him accumulate two bookings already. Nketiah also seems to like fouling against Brentford. He committed three fouls (and got booked) last time he played them. The time before this he fouled twice.
Predictions:
🟡 Over 3.5 match cards @ 1.33
🛑 Frank Onyeka to commit 2+ fouls @ 1.73
🟡 Frank Onyeka to be shown a card @ 2.88
🛑 Eddie Nketiah to commit 2+ fouls @ 1.67
🟡 Eddie Nketiah to be shown a card @ 6.0
