Wieffer didn’t start in the game at Anfield, but Yasmin Ayari was fouled three times playing in the middle of the park.

The majority of the Liverpool players may have lost their motivation, but Salah has repeatedly expressed his desire to make this season as memorable as he can in these final weeks. He’s been a bit quieter in the second half of the campaign but has still pitched in with two goal contributions across his last five Premier League appearances.

Gravenberch has deservedly been nominated for the Player of the Year award following his excellent performances for Liverpool this season. He’s likely to miss out on winning the award to his teammate, Mohamed Salah, but his nomination highlights how important he has been to Liverpool this season. He’s won 47 fouls across his 35 Premier League appearances this season (1.41 per 90) and was hauled down five times in the initial meeting between the sides at Anfield.
