Specialist in Scandinavian & European soccer. I have been in the betting game for nearly 20 years now with a summer focus on the Norwegian & Swedish leagues. With an in-depth knowledge of the region & teams I have been involved in a specialist podcast & more for close to a decade. My favourite types of bets are attacking the goal lines and identifying the tactics & style of each team & manager who can contribute positively. Outside of betting I was once a Sunday League goalkeeper myself. But my boots are now retired and instead prefer to hit up the cricket pitch and golf course in my spare time.

Malmo to Win

Malmö have been looking great recently. They were criticised for some below par play in the first third of the season but they are now showing their quality and class. This is a team starting to fire both domestically and in Europe and it looks like a good time to be siding with them. The squad is loaded with depth, and key players such as Hugo Bolin and Otto Rosengren are in excellent form.

Brommapojkarna have given Malmö some tough issues in the last couple of years, but they are at a stage where they are focused and know they can’t drop points in their pursuit of the championship. They should get the job done and backing them to win is the first bet in the game at 1.95.

Over 2.5 Goals

The last five meetings between the two teams have all gone over 2.5 goals and seen BTTS. It looks advisable to back both markets again, especially as both sides have been involved in several overs games lately. Brommapojkarna have an average xGA per game of 1.88, and that Achilles heel came back to bite them last week when they blew a 2-0 lead v Hammarby to lose 3-2. The Malmö offense could cover this goal line all on their own with the firepower they have. Over 2.5 goals at 1.65 looks like value.

Both Teams to Score

Brommapojkarna have kept three clean sheets in their last four games but the standard of opponents must be considered. They had the likes of Osters and Norrkoping on the card which are much easier fixtures. For the most part of the season their defence has been totally unreliable and Malmo should have plenty of chances. Brommpojkarna have been fearless when facing Malmo in the last two years and have always scored against them in recent meetings which makes BTTS advisable at 1.57. Bromma also have the 6th best xG in the Allsvenskan.

  • Malmo have won five consecutive games in all competitions

  • Brommapojkarna have won three of their last four matches, but blew a 2-0 lead last week.

  • Brommapojkarna have a poor xGA of 1.88 per game

  • The last five head-to-head meetings have all gone over 2.5 goals and seen BTTS.

Brommapojkarna shockingly beat Malmö 2-1 earlier this season as an 8/1 underdog. I was bitten badly that day as a Malmö backer, but the away side are in much better form now and deserve their favouritism.

🔴 Bromma Blew Big Lead

Brommapojkarna came out of the international break in great form, winning three consecutive games. They were 2-0 up away to Hammarby last week but let slip that advantage to lose 3-2. That was a big blow, and it will be interesting to see how they respond. Bromma do have the 5th best away record in the Allsvenskan and won four out of nine games this season. The home side have an average xG of 1.65, which is the 5th-best in the league. Their average xGA of 1.89 is one of the worst in the entire Allsvenskan, though.

🔵 Malmö Finding Form at the Right Time

The defending Allsvenskan champions have been below par for most of the season but have found some great form recently, winning five straight games in all competitions. The start of Champions League qualifying seems to have done them a favour so far, and they’ve been able to use it as a momentum boost. Malmö have a big squa,d so all of the players are getting regular minutes. The visitors only have the 6th-best away record in the Allsvenskan with three wins out of nine.

📊 Brommapojkarna v Malmö H2H

Last season this fixture ended in a 2-2 draw, and the only other wins Malmö have had against them in recent years were three 2-1 successes. Brommapojkarna racked up 1.55 xG in their 2-1 victory against them this season with seven shots on target.
