Chelsea will be after revenge on Wednesday evening having had their dreams of lifting the Carabao Cup shattered by a last-minute header from Virgil van Dijk in extra time. They host Leeds at Stamford Bridge in the fifth round of the FA Cup in what looks to be an exciting clash.
Labelled as the “Blue Billion Pound Bottle Jobs”, Chelsea have managed two wins in their last five matches (2W 1D 2L), and currently sit 11th in the Premier League table. The FA Cup is now Chelsea’s last shot at silverware this season, and Mauricio Pochettino’s men will not want to crash out against Leeds.
Leeds have been on fiery form recently, winning nine of their last ten games (9W 1D) and rising to second place in the Championship. The Whites also have the best defensive record in the league, conceding an average of 0.79 goals per match.
Chelsea have faced Leeds seven times across the last 15 years, winning on five occasions (5W 1D 1L). Furthermore, they have won every home game played against Leeds, scoring an average of 2.14 goals across these seven games. Given their recent form, the Blues might find this clash more of a challenge.

They are strong when it comes to tournaments and will only be spurred on from last Sunday’s heartbreak.
