In spite of Leeds’ strong record, Chelsea are still clear favourites for this one. Chelsea have reached the final of the FA Cup five times in the last eight years, lifting the trophy once in 2018 against Man United. They are strong when it comes to tournaments and will only be spurred on from last Sunday’s heartbreak.

Crysencio Summerville has been, statistically, Leeds’ best performer this season having bagged himself 15 goals and eight assists from 29 starts. Furthermore, Summerville has been averaging 3.46 shots and 1.24 shots on target this season. The 22-year-old has been linked to top-flight clubs including Chelsea and Aston Villa following his strong performances.

Georginio Rutter has been solid for Leeds this season, chipping in with 18 goal involvements in the Championship this season having formed a great partnership with Summerville. Over his last five games, Rutter has contributed to six goals (2G 4A).

Leeds have seen an average of 5.35 corners for per match in the Championship, but have taken even more in the FA Cup so far.

Chelsea have been conceding a high number of corners in the Premier League (5.16). In their last FA Cup game, Chelsea conceded seven corners against Aston Villa – in both the first game and the replay. Furthermore, over their last seven games, Chelsea have conceded seven or more corners on four separate occasions.

The Blues have been awarded the most yellow cards in the Premier League so far (78), for an average of 3.40 bookings per match. They also rank in second place for fouls committed per game (12.6). Chelsea have received two or more bookings in all of their last five games, with four of those seeing 3+ Chelsea bookings.

So, who are the most likely candidates for a booking?

Nicolas Jackson has been a card magnet for the Blues this season, picking up nine bookings so far – the most of any Chelsea player. In the Carabao Cup final at the weekend Jackson committed three fouls against Liverpool but escaped a booking.

Chelsea left back Ben Chilwell is likely to be in for a tough time on Wednesday as he faces off against Wilfred Gnonto, a Leeds winger who has won an average of 2.72 fouls across all competitions this season. Chilwell picked up a booking last weekend, his sixth of the season from 13 starts.
