Lyngby v OB
🏟
Sunday 18th September – 1:00PM KO
It is a bottom of the Danish Superliga clash Sunday at Lyngby Stadion in the suburbs of Copenhagen. The home team are dead last, while the guests are starting to look better and better.
Lyngby were promoted to the Superliga this summer, and they have struggled. Their budget is the smallest in the league, and they lack quality in several positions to truly compete at this level. This is a shame, as the club boasts one of the most successful academies in Denmark, but it lacks the finances needed to take the next step. Lyngby are yet to win this season, and it is starting to become critical. To make things even worse, the home side are without captain and star player Andreas Bjelland, formerly with Brentford, and Kristian Riis, which severely hurts the defense.
OB have looked a lot better recently. They did have an awful start to the season and were recently knocked out of the Cup by a team from the third tier, but they have improved. The club from Hans Christian Andersen’s home city has won three of their last four Superliga fixtures, and last weekend they defeated FC Copenhagen. They have gotten their defense under control, and after conceding 12 goals in the first four rounds, they have only conceded four goals in the last four.
The home side remains the favourites going into this match, but we could easily be in for an upset. The value is definitely on OB, and odds 2.10 on the DNB away victory are very favourable.

Viborg v Brondby
🏟
Sunday 18th September – 3:00PM KO
While it is not unexpected that this match would be top team against a team dwelling towards the bottom of the league, it is highly surprising that it is Viborg in the top and Brøndby towards the base.
The home side have been the big surprise of the Danish Superliga this season and are currently third in the league. The green and white also made it to the playoff round of the Conference League, where they faced West Ham, and it has thus been a memorable season so far.
The away team started horribly but has improved recently. Before the transfer window closed, Brøndby made three significant signings in Daniel Wass (Atletico Madrid), Nicolai Vallys (Silkeborg) and Ohi Omoijuanfo (Red Star). All three players have significantly elevated the team’s level, and while they didn’t beat Randers last week, they produced more chances than in any other game this season. To make things even better for Brøndby, they have won two of the last head-to-head matchups with Viborg, while the third game ended with a draw.
Brøndby are a much better team than at the start of the season. They are producing more chances, and the new offensive players have all instantly produced at a high level. Wass has the most chances created for Brøndby already, Omoijuanfo has scored twice in his first two games, and Vallys scored and assisted in last weekend’s game.
While Brøndby aren’t favourites, they are the better value of the picks here, and at odds-against it is hard to look past this selection.

Midtjylland v FC Copenhagen
🏟
Sunday 11th September – 5:00PM KO
This is a match between Denmark’s two richest clubs. Both are coming off major results in European football this week, but they are also both in the bottom half of the league and need victories.
FC Midtjylland have struggled this season, but they delivered one of the greatest ever Danish results in European football Thursday. At home, they absolutely demolished Italian giants Lazio 5-1, and this result immediately entered the history books of Danish football. Midtjylland played brilliantly and showed the sharpness needed to compete at the highest level. The victory was their first at home this season, and it should give them a major confidence boost, especially offensively with players like Gustav Isaksen and Evander performing so well.
FC Copenhagen are also coming off a great week. Wednesday, they held Sevilla to 0-0 at home in Parken, after a great performance. Copenhagen delivered a stellar performance defensively, and despite the quality Sevilla boasts, they stayed comfortable and in control throughout the game. Domestically, however, Copenhagen have struggled, and they are currently 7th with 12 points after nine games. They have just one victory in their last six games across all tournaments, but they remain relatively strong offensively.
Two great offenses meet, but also two shaky defences. We expect goals here, and odds 1.72 on over 2.5 goals at Betfair is great value considering how leaky both sides have been at the back this season.

Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals, 1.73 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
