Everton hosts Fulham on Saturday at 3pm in what looks to be an important fixture for both sides. David Moyes’ men will want to secure a home win and turn their new home ground into a Fortress as the Toffees have struggled over their last eight games.

Fulham enjoyed a stellar campaign in 2024/25, but they have failed to find any sort of consistency this season as they find themselves 15th in the table.

Our Football Match Stats, including Everton v Fulham, provide further insight.

Over 3.5 Fulham Corners

Fulham have averaged 5.2 corners per game in the league this season, very similar to their average of 5.34 last season.

Their numbers stayed consistent on the road, too, averaging 5.42 per game. Their consistency in forcing corners has carried over to 2025/26 as The Cottagers have averaged 5.1 this term.

In their most recent league fixture, they forced an impressive 10 corner kicks against Wolves. This could be down to starting a more natural winger in Kevin out wide, as the tricky youngster is more eager to take a man on in comparison to Alex Iwobi, who has started the majority of games on the left flank this season.

The Toffees have conceded an average of 4.58 corners per game this season, a slight decrease from their average of 5.73 in 2024/25. I expect there will be moments in the game where Everton soak up pressure, inviting Fulham to commit more men forward in the hope of catching them on the counterattack.

If so, this could lead to more Fulham corners as the Everton defence bats away any balls into the box as Fulham try to break the Toffees down.

Over 1.5 Everton Cards

Everton have averaged 2.17 cards per game this season, consistent with their average of 2.09 last season.

When looking into home and away data, the hosts have seen an increase in cards when playing on their own turf, averaging 2.8 per game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this season and 2.2 at Goodison last term.

At home, they have recorded card counts of two against Tottenham, two against Crystal Palace, three against West Ham, three against Aston Villa, and four against Brighton, clearing the over 1.5 line in all five.

This impressive trend of home cards extends back to the tail end of last season, seeing them pick up further card counts of one against Southampton, four against Ipswich, four against Manchester City, three against Arsenal, one against West Ham, four against Manchester United and four against Liverpool, meaning they have cleared the over 1.5 line in 10 of their last 12 home games with an average of 2.92 per game.

To add to this, Fulham’s opponents have averaged 1.7 yellow cards per game over their last 50 Premier League matches.

Idrissa Gueye to Commit 1+ Fouls

The Senegalese midfielder averages 1.24 fouls per 90 across Everton’s last 30 matches, with recent counts of 2,2,1,2,0 in his last five.

He is up against a Fulham midfield who have some nice foul drawers. Predicted line-ups have Josh King and Sasa Lukic starting in the middle, who draw 2.02 and 1.70 fouls per 90, respectively.

On top of the central midfielders, Harry Wilson and Kevin are expected to start on the flanks. Wilson has been so consistent for drawing fouls for Fulham, averaging 1.8 per 90 over his last 50 games. The Welshman loves cutting onto his favoured left foot from wide right, often finding himself in central positions to take a shot or link play.

Kevin has a career average of 1.11 fouls drawn per 90, but this has seen a nice uptick to 2.76 for Fulham – although this is a small sample size. When combining Fulham’s foul-drawing midfielders with Gueye’s recent uptick in fouls, 1+ foul looks a solid pick.

James Garner to have 1+ Shots

In 2024/25, James Garner averaged just 0.80 shots per 90 for Everton, but we have seen his attacking output double this season as he has turned into Everton’s highest-volume shooter, averaging 1.67 shots per 90.

Moyes has always had a knack for pushing one of his midfielders on to get involved offensively, with the likes of Fellaini in his last spell or Soucek at West Ham regularly threatening the opposition.

The arrival of Jack Grealish and his ball-carrying ability has likely aided Garner’s shooting numbers. The wide man is a constant threat, often leading him to be doubled up on due to his ability to beat a man one-on-one.

This often frees a man up from Garner, who sits on the edge of the box awaiting a cut-back. The English midfielder has shot counts of 1,2,1,1,5,3,2,1,0,1,2,1 this season, proving incredibly consistent for a pop at goal. Fulham have conceded a nice amount of shots to central midfielders this season.

Recent counts have them conceding four to Wolves, five to Newcastle, two to Arsenal, and four to Bournemouth.

📈 Everton v Fulham Form & Tactics

Everton are off the back of a respectable 1-1 draw on Monday night away to high-flying Sunderland in what was a feisty affair.

The Toffees have navigated through a tricky set of fixtures lately, with consecutive matches against Sunderland, Aston Villa, city rivals Liverpool, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Manchester City, and Tottenham, picking up five points in the process.

They will fancy their chances here against a struggling Fulham side, who have only picked up one point from a possible 15 on the road. The visitors ended their unwanted 4-game losing streak last weekend, with a comfortable 3-0 victory against 10-man struggling Wolves.

It’s not a result that will make many Fulham fans overly optimistic, as Wolves have amassed just 2 points from their opening 10 Premier League games – leading to the dismissal of boss Vitor Pereira.

Both sides' underlying numbers suggest their league rankings are fair and prove they haven’t been hard done by. Everton are sitting 14th with 12 points; the xPTS table has them at 12.33 points.

Fulham’s xPTS is sitting at 11.57, only 0.57 higher than their actual points tally of 11. Both sides will be relatively disappointed with their start to the campaign and will see this fixture as a chance to put 3 points on the board.

📔 Everton v Fulham Formation & Team News

David Moyes has deployed a 4-2-3-1 with the Toffees, with their star men being both wide players in Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye.

The electric duo draw so many fouls due to their excellent ball-carrying ability, which strikes fear in full-backs across the league. The home side has rotated between strikers Beto and summer signing Thierno Barry this season, although neither of them have made any sort of claim for making themselves the main man, combining for just one goal between them.

Fulham likewise have been struggling for goals from their forwards, with Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz also combining for just 1 goal. Both sides draw similarities with misfiring forwards and lacklustre performances. Fulham have deployed both a 4-2-3-1 and a 3-4-2-1 this season, but Marco Silva has preferred the 4-2-3-1 in recent weeks.

The Toffees only have Jarrad Branthwaite on their injury list, with Fulham’s only notable injured player being Antonee Robinson, of whom the flexible Ryan Sessegnon has replaced in recent times.
