Hearts will be presented with an opportunity to increase their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership when they face Falkirk on Saturday night.

Derek McInnes’ side solidified the notion that they are the real deal in this season’s title race by claiming a statement 2-1 win away at Celtic last Sunday.

As for seventh-placed Falkirk, they will be looking to bounce back from last Saturday’s 3-0 loss to Hibernian.

We have a list of the Best Bet Builder Betting Sites for this weekend's matches, as well as plenty more Football Tips on ABC.

📈 Falkirk v Hearts Form & Stats

After being widely tipped for an immediate return to the Scottish Championship, Falkirk have adapted well to life back in the Scottish Premiership. John McGlynn’s side have amassed a quietly impressive return of 21 points from their opening 16 games of the season, meaning that they start the weekend just five points behind 3rd-placed Motherwell.

While the Bairns fell to a 3-0 defeat away at Hibernian last Saturday, that was just their second loss in 10 matches.

11 of Falkirk’s 16 Scottish Premiership matches this season have featured over 2.5 goals, including five of their eight fixtures in front of their own supporters. It's also worth noting that both teams have scored in seven of the Bairns’ eight top-flight home games this term.

Falkirk have received two or more yellow cards in each of their last five Scottish Premiership matches, with midfielder Dylan Tait being booked in three of those contests.

Hearts emerged from a sticky patch to claim a 2-1 win at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic last Sunday. Ahead of last week’s Parkhead triumph, Hearts had taken top honours from just one of their previous six Scottish Premiership matches. The victory should do wonders for confidence and Derek McInnes will be hoping that success acts as a catalyst for another lengthy winning run.

No team has scored more goals than Hearts (32) in this season’s Scottish Premiership, with the capital club hitting multiple strikes in a league-high 11 of their 16 matches this season. It's also worth mentioning that Hearts have struck first in 11 of their 16 top-flight fixtures this term.

Hearts have drawn an average of 2.38 bookings per 90 from their Scottish Premiership opponents this season, with six of the last seven sides they have faced picking up a minimum of two cards.

📔 Falkirk v Hearts Formation & Team News

Falkirk manager John McGlynn’s preferred formation is a fluid 4-2-3-1, with his midfield and forward players encouraged to showcase creativity by being given plenty of licence to attack.

Falkirk are still dealing with a lengthy injury list featuring the likes of Gary Oliver, Jamie Sneddon, Lewis Neilson, Ross MacIver and Thomas Lang, while Keelan Adams is a major doubt having missed the last two matches with a groin injury.

Aidan Nesbitt and Coll Donaldson are close to returning from lengthy layoffs, but the visit of Hearts is expected to come too soon for the pair.

While Derek McInnes has favoured a 4-4-2 formation this season, the Hearts boss switched to a 4-2-3-1 system at Celtic Park last Sunday with great effect. As such, McInnes could be tempted to stick with the same line-up and structure at the Falkirk Stadium on Saturday night.

Injured quartet Beni Baningime, Calem Nieuwenhof, Eduardo Ageu and Finlay Pollock are all still on the sidelines for the league leaders.

Key Hearts duo Alexandros Kyziridis and Cammy Devlin are one booking away from serving a suspension.
