Jermaine Wattimena v Dimitri Van Den Bergh Best Bet
🎯 Over 4.5 Dimtiri Van Den Bergh 180s
📈 Odds: 1.80
Such is the current fortunes of both these players that Jermaine Wattimena is odds on to beat Dimitri Van Den Bergh, something that twelve months ago would’ve seemed unlikely.
Whilst on the floor he may still be suspect, on the big stage, in front of the TV cameras, Dimitri Van Den Bergh is still a threat in any tournament as his win percentage of around 69% in 2024 suggests, winning 20 of his 28 matches. He is of course the reigning UK Open Champion too.
Odds against for him is tempting but the form of ‘Machine Gun’ is eye catching and he has won their sole meeting this year, albeit that was back in February.
The wiser bet may be to concentrate on the maximum count of the Belgian and look at him to notch up five or more. He was a recent World Grand Prix Semi-Finalist and in all the matches he played in that event he surpassed this mark, registering 5, 7, 7 and 7 in matches that featured 12, 17, 17 and 25 legs of darts.
In the knockout phase of this event, the matches are now best of nineteen legs so you’d expect to see a similar number of legs played as above. Even in their previous meeting, earlier this year, a match that featured only eight legs of darts, Dimitri managed to amass four.
