  • After drawing 2-2 against Hull last time out, Leicester have had their relegation from the Championship mathematically confirmed, and they will play in League One next season.

  • They have been in a dismal run of form, without a win in any of their last seven successive games.

  • Millwall are battling near the top of the pile, and they have won back-to-back matches heading into this clash.

📈 Leicester v Millwall Form & Stats

After drawing 2-2 against Hull last time out, Leicester cannot close the seven-point gap on Blackburn, so the Foxes will play in League One next season. It has been a dreadful season for Leicester, and the six-point deduction in February has proven costly. They have only won one of their last 19 matches across all competitions, highlighting what has been a steady decline, and it’s uncertain what will happen next for them, as they already have one of the highest wage bills in the Championship.

Millwall’s form has been a lot more positive, and they came away with a 3-1 win against Stoke midweek. The bet365 Stadium hasn’t been an easy visit for away sides this season, but the Lions were dominant - they went 2-0 up after 55 minutes and were cruising. Caleb Taylor then put the ball into his own net, but Coburn restored the two-goal lead just a few minutes later.

Millwall are now unbeaten in their last three matches, which puts them in an excellent position for their promotion push. With just 48 goals conceded from 44 league matches, they have been one of the best defensive units in the division, and will need to keep that up for the final two matches of the season.

📔 Leicester v Millwall Formation & Team News

Alex Neil is expected to name a similar lineup to that which beat Stoke last time out, with no fresh injury doubts. Coburn should continue up front, with Azeez on the right wing and Thierno Ballo on the opposite flank. After Billy Mitchell picked up an ankle injury, Derek Mazou-Sacko could continue in midfield alongside Casper De Norre. Alfie Doughty is also out injured, which means Zak Sturge should continue at left back.

Predicting Leicester’s lineup is a bit more challenging, as they have little to play for in their final two matches of the season. Caleb Okoli and Victor Kristiansen are out injured, and Gary Rowett could allow some of his younger players to start here.

After a lengthy injury layoff, Harry Souttar has been listed on the bench for the last three matches, so he could be given a chance, while Jakub Stolarczyk will hope to start in between the sticks after Asmir Begovic made a massive error against Hull.
