Lyon have lost each of their last two Ligue 1 fixtures, and they are priced at 2.05 to end that run with a victory on Sunday. Meanwhile, Strasbourg have lost only one of six away games this season, and they are priced at 3.25 to improve that encouraging record with another triumph. See my best two bets for the match below.

2 Selections @ 2.23

Over 2.5 Goals

Strasbourg are regularly involved in high scoring encounters with Liam Rosenior opting for a front footed approach with his extremely young side in Ligue 1 this season.

Strasbourg have seen 3+ goals in four of their last five matches across all competitions, with the exception being their 1-1 draw in the Conference League during the week. That European encounter probably should have produced a few more goals seeing as Strasbourg registered an xG of 2.57 on their own which is the sort of tally they’re capable of achieving regularly with the quality of attacking talent in the side.

Lyon have seen over 2.5 goals in each of their last two games in Ligue 1 with their home matches producing eight goals in total so far (2.0 per game). Strasbourg should be able to force an increase in this goal tally with their front footed approach - they’ve seen 17 goals across their four away matches this term, including a 3-3 draw against PSG in their most recent assignment on the road.

Over 7.5 Corners

Lyon average the most corners per game of any team in Ligue 1 this season with 7.5 corners per match. Remarkably, Lyon managed to hit 16 corners by themselves in their last league match against Nice (3-2 defeat).

Lyon have seen this bet land in each of their last three home matches, too. While Strasbourg tend to earn less corners than Lyon, they did manage to tally eight by themselves in midweek in the Conference League. Strasbourg also managed to notch five corners against league leaders Marseille recently, so they can contribute to this count, too.

📈 Lyon v Strasbourg Form & Stats

Lyon have enjoyed an impressive start to the 2025/26 season, winning eight and losing only three of their 11 matches across all competitions, although those three defeats have come in their last five Ligue 1 matches.

That includes back-to-back Ligue 1 defeats in their most recent fixtures, leaving Paulo Fonseca’s side desperately looking to snap that streak with a victory on Sunday.

Lyon will draw confidence from the fact that they have been at their best when playing at home, winning three and losing only one of their four fixtures, while they have also won all of their last three home meetings with Strasbourg.

The visitors will provide a tough test on Saturday though, with Strasbourg heading into this clash off the back of five wins, one draw and two defeats from eight league matches, leaving them narrowly one point ahead of Lyon and two places higher as they sit third in the standings with 16 points.

Strasbourg have lost only one of six away games across all competitions this season, devastatingly conceding a 96th-minute winner to Takumi Minamino as they lost 3-2 to AS Monaco, while they have also won four and drawn one.

Aiming to improve that record further with another victory, Strasbourg will look to draw confidence from winning the most recent encounter between these two, running out 4-2 winners in March.
