Jim Williams v Sebastian Bialecki
🏆
Round 1
⏰
19:15 start time
The first round match between Jim Williams and Sebastian Bialecki promises to be one of the best of the first round.
Jim Williams a former BDO World finalist will find the Ally Pally comfortable as he’s accustomed to the big stage.
A Tour Card Holder in the PDC took no time at all to claim a maiden title when he won Players Championship 6 title earlier in the year.
The Welshman had claimed notable scalps throughout 2022 too and really can mix it with the best as he showed at last years Grand Slam of Darts when he defeated James Wade and was unluckily eliminated in the Group Stage despite two wins from three games.
His opponent, the Young Pole Sebastian Bialecki is one of the best international qualifiers in the field this year.
He represented his nation at the PDC World Cup this year despite being a Tour Card Holder.
His highlight this year however was reaching the Quarter-Final of the UK Open back in March.
During that event he beat six Tour Card holders including Ryan Searle before he was eliminated by William O’Connor. Three of the seven matches he played were last leg deciders. These are closely matched on average comparisons and I can see this easily having 4 or 5 sets.

Jamie Hughes v Jimmy Hendriks
🏆
Round 1
⏰
20:15 start time
This game isn’t one which grabs the headlines but is one which there seems to be a good bet available for Jamie ‘Yozza’ Hughes to hit the most 180’s.
Over the course of the 2022 season he’s hitting 180’s at a higher rate than his opponent. Hughes is averaging a 180 every four to five legs (0.225 per leg) whereas Hendriks is pretty much one every eight legs of darts (0.128 per leg).
A better example of this would be in numerical terms. Hendriks has played 601 legs of darts during this campaign, hitting 77 maximums. Taking Hughes’ last 601 legs of darts he’s hit 131. Looking at this from a match example. In their last 50 matches Hendriks has only hit more than two 180’s in just 2 matches and drawn a blank on 17 occasions. Hughes however has only drawn a blank on 8 occasions and registered more than two 12 times.
The pair have met once this year and during that match Hughes hit 4 maximums and Hendriks just once and during the entire year Hughes has hit more 180’s than his opponent in 43% of the matches he’s played, Hendriks in comparison, just 22% of games.
