Arsenal rested a few key players from the spine of their team when they travelled to Lisbon in the Europa League midweek. Arteta is keen to maintain a lead over Manchester City with a trip to the Etihad looming at the end of April. The Gunners showed fantastic spirit to come back against Bournemouth last weekend but they will be keen to ensure they don’t start poorly again.

Bukayo Saka is enjoying a fantastic season in the Arsenal attack. He has 10 goals and 9 assists in 26 league games and is a constant thorn in the side of the opposition defence. The Gunners average 16.42 dribbles per game as a team in the Premier League this season. Saka attempts 27% of Arsenal’s dribbles so the full-back tasked with stopping him will be busy.

Antonee Robinson is set to start at left-back for Fulham. He played there in the reverse fixture and completed six tackles. Robson has made two tackles in his last two league matches and Arsenal should be able to sustain more pressure than your average side. The last five left-backs to start against Arsenal have made 6, 3, 3, 3 and 4 tackles.

Manchester United took a step towards putting their Anfield thumping behind them by beating Real Betis in the Europa League. Erik Ten Hag will now want to ensure his team get back on track as they look to solidify their place in the top four. Southampton remain in the relegation zone but things are very tight at the bottom. The Saints will be battling from the off in this one.

Ward-Prowse has been booked in three of his last four Premier League matches and he is one of the most persistent foulers in the Southampton team. He has made 26 fouls in the league this season. Only Mohamed Elyounoussi and Che Adams have made more. The Saints are averaging 11.92 fouls per game in the Premier League this season; only Crystal Palace average more.

In Manchester United’s last league match at Old Trafford, both of Leicester’s deep midfield players picked up at least two fouls. In their league home match prior to that, both of Leeds’s central-midfielders were booked. James Ward-Prowse should be right in the firing line on Saturday and this price looks big.

West Ham beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 in their last home match to move clear of the relegation zone. They were then humbled at the hands of Brighton by the same scoreline. David Moyes has been unable to replicate the success of recent seasons and his side are languishing just one point above the relegation zone. Aston Villa are firmly in mid table and have done reasonably well since they changed their manager.

The Hammers rank fairly low in terms of offsides with 1.44 per game in the Premier League this season. However, they are taking on an Aston Villa side who have forced a staggering amount of offside infringements from their opponents since Unai Emery took over from Steven Gerrard. Since he took charge, Villa’s opponents are averaging 3.71 offsides per game.

Jarrod Bowen has the second most offsides in the West Ham team this season. He has been caught offside on seven occasions; only Michail Antonio has been caught out more often and it is unlikely he will start this one. Bowen has the pace to break beyond the Aston Villa high defensive line and I’m expecting him to be offside at least once here.

Newcastle are looking to get their chase for Champions League football back on track. The Magpies have done very well this season but an abundance of draws in recent weeks has seen them slip down the table slightly. Wolves are up to 13th under Lopetegui. Things were looking ominous at one stage but they should survive the drop this season.

Wolves commit the fourth most fouls in the Premier League this season with an average of 12.58 per game. Since Loptegui took charge, Wolves are making one more foul per game than they were prior to his arrival. Newcastle are the fourth most fouled side in the league when playing at home. When these teams met earlier in the season.

Nelson Semedo should play at right-back for Wolves. This would put him directly up against Allan Saint-Maximin down that flank. Semedo was booked for his only foul of the match in the first half when these teams met earlier in the season. The defender was booked and made 3 fouls in Wolves’ last away game and he should be busy on Sunday afternoon.
