• Sandefjord have a 100% home record in the Eliteserien with seven wins from seven matches

Sandefjord have been performing well above expectations this season and still have a brilliant 100% home record. They now face a tricky clash against a Sarpsborg side who are rarely beaten. Sandefjord are priced at 2.05 to continue their hot streak at home, but taking them in the double chance market is my preference.

🔵 Sandefjord Keep Maintaining 100% Home Record

This has been an incredible season for Sandefjord, who are known for being perennial relegation strugglers. But this year they are as high as 6th in the table and still have a 100% home record. Sandefjord have won all seven Eliteserien fixtures at home, with an outstanding 22:3 goal differential. Last week, they smashed Kristiansund 6-0, with Stefan Ingi Sigurdarson racking up a hat-trick.

Sandefjord have an average xG per game of 1.71 which is the 7th best in the league. Their achilles heel has been defensively, with 18 goals conceded and an average xGA of 1.64 - which ranks in the bottom five in the league. However, 15 of their 18 goals have been conceded away from home and they seem a different animal in home conditions.

⚪ Sarpsborg Are Very Difficult to Beat

Sarpsborg drew 2-2 against Rosenborg last week and have still only lost twice this season in all competitions. They are unbeaten away from home with three wins and four draws. With 14 goals conceded, only Bodo/Glimt have shipped in fewer, although their average xGA per game of 1.53 is only mid rank.

From a metrics perspective, Sarpsborg’s biggest strength is in attack with their xG of 1.81 per game the 3rd best of any side.

The home team has won nine of the last 10 head-to-head meetings when these sides have faced each other in the last four years. The most recent encounter was a 3-1 victory for Sarpsborg in the Norwegian Cup back in early May.

Sandefjord won this fixture 4-1 last year and 5-1 the season for that, while Sarpsborg have not won here since 2020. Seven of the last nine meetings have gone over 2.5 goals, too.
