The Rams did struggle towards the end of the season, losing two of their three final games and only narrowly beating the Panthers in the Wild Card Round. Despite that, I think they have a higher ceiling of these two teams. Across the whole season, including the playoffs, they rank top in offensive DVOA and second in EPA per play. They can be hugely explosive.

The return of Davante Adams has given the offense a real uplift, and in Sean McVay, they have a great offensive mind. Defensively, they don’t quite stack up as well as the Seahawks, but I’m happy to bet on offense here. Especially with Sam Darnold questionable to play. I’m very sure that he’ll suit up on Sunday, but will he really be at full fitness? I’m not sure, and in games this close, he’ll need to be. It was 1-1 between these two teams during the regular season, but I think the Rams should win here. Just to be safe, I’m taking an alternate handicap and backing the Rams +3.5, so a defeat via field goal would still cover.

Over the final few weeks of the regular season and into the playoffs, the Rams' backfield had looked like a 1a and 1b between Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, but it was noticeable that in that tight, cagey game with the Bears, the team trusted the experienced Williams, and that should continue here.

He had 21 carries last time out, for only the fourth time this season, and he rewarded the team with 87 yards. The Seahawks are strong against the run, but we will see Williams get volume here. He’s had 50+ rushing yards in 18 of 19 games he’s played this season, getting a combined 161 rushing yards in two games against the Seahawks.

Last week was tied for the second fewest receptions (five) of Puka Nacua’s season, and the only game worse than that was one in which he got injured. He’s a volume monster in this offense and has had seven or more catches in 13 of 18 across the year, averaging eight receptions per game.

He’s the key player on this offense, with Matthew Stafford repeatedly targeting him, and Nacua helping the team move the chains and get the team down the field. Even in last week’s five catch performance, he still had double-digit targets, and has had 10+ targets in seven straight games, and an average of 10.7 targets per game across the season. Take the slightly more conservative alternate reception line and back him to make seven or more catches.

The third-year wideout has had a career year and truly announced himself as one of the very best in the league. If the Seahawks are to win this game, then they need to get the ball into Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s hands as often as possible. I’d be lying if I said Darnold’s injury wasn’t a slight concern, with Drew Lock a downgrade if the Seahawks QB can’t play.

However, I’m negating the risk by taking an alternate line of 70+ receiving yards for JSN, below the 90.5 line that he’s got ordinarily. I think that line should be safe, even if Lock gets the nod at quarterback. JSN has averaged 95.3 yards per game this season, and had 70+ in 17 of 19 matches.
