Bochum v Bayer Leverkusen
🏟
Sunday 10th April – 2:30PM KO
Bayer Leverkusen’s season took a bit of a downturn a few months ago when the club were hit with a number of injuries to key players, but Gerardo Seoane’s side have just about managed to weather the storm thanks to the impressive depth in their squad.
That was perhaps best illustrated last weekend, when back-up striker Lucas Alario scored a fantastic goal against Hertha Berlin to remind the Bundesliga that despite just four starts for his club this season, he’s still an excellent goal scorer.
Indeed, when we couple Alario’s performances with the likes of other fill-ins like Paulinho, Kerem Demirbay and Karim Bellarabi it’s clear to see that Leverkusen still have more than enough talent to get through to the end of the season without Florian Wirtz or Jeremie Frimpong.
As such, when Leverkusen make the trip to Bochum on Sunday afternoon, they should have more than enough about them to pick up a result against a side that have won just three of their last 10 league games and long since succumbed to mid-table complacency.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Freiburg
🏟
Sunday 10th April – 4:30PM KO
There’s no doubt that Eintracht Frankfurt are the toast of German football at the moment, after Oliver Glasner’s side not only held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw on Thursday night but by all accounts should have gone on to win the game.
However, the great irony of the Eagles this season is that while they often look heroic in Europe – where they are now unbeaten in nine games – they have often struggled to show that kind of form in the Bundesliga. Especially at home.
Indeed, Glasner’s side have the third worst record in front of their own fans in the German top flight this season and when they host Freiburg on Sunday afternoon we’re likely to see an exhausted squad struggle to match Christian Streich’s side.
What’s more, Freiburg are second only to RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich in the form table and will be determined to put a bitter 4-1 defeat to the German champions from last weekend behind them.

RB Leipzig v Hoffenheim
🏟
Sunday 10th April – 6:30PM KO
RB Leipzig head coach Domenico Tedesco emphasised the need for “freshness” in his squad ahead of Sunday’s clash with Hoffenheim and it’s perfectly understandable why the German tactician may be taking a closer look at his squad’s fitness levels after the past few weeks.
Following an impressive 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund last weekend, the Saxony side then took part in a gruelling, end-to-end 1-1 draw with Atalanta in the Europa League on Thursday. Despite maintaining an unbeaten run, the Red Bull club were certainly beginning to struggle by the end of the match and won’t exactly be looking forward to Sunday’s test against a good Hoffenheim side.
Although Sebastian Hoeneß’s side have lost their last two games in the Bundesliga, Hoffenheim remain one of the toughest teams to beat in the German top flight this season. No side have won more points from losing positions than the Sinsheim club this season and they can also lay claim to the fifth best offensive record in the division too.
This clash could prove hard to call in terms of who will be going home with the points, but we should certainly expect goals from two of the Bundesliga’s most dynamic teams.
