We know that ‘Big Ange’ loves to win trophies, so will he be taking this one seriously, or using it as an opportunity to look at his squad.
Nottingham Forest are unsurprisingly favourites, priced at 1.62. The draw is available at 3.8, whilst Swansea can be backed at 4.75. Based on quality of squad I think Forest should be a shorter price, but their recent form has been a little worrying.
Under 2.5 goals is being offered at 2.0, whilst over 2.5 goals is 1.73. I see a low-scoring game; five of Swansea’s seven games have gone under 2.5 goals, and I think they’ll be playing on the counter here.

⚪ Swans Start Well
Swansea have made a good start to their first full season under the stewardship of Alan Sheehan. From five games, they have two wins, two draws, and just a solitary defeat, which came in a tight game on opening day against league leaders Middlesbrough.
It should be noted that they’ve had a kind start fixture wise, playing each of the Sheffield sides who have just one point between them, 20th placed Hull who they failed to beat, and 17th placed Watford. Their games have been low scoring affairs, with just ten goals scored in the five games, with four of those coming last time out.
🔴 Forest Fringe Players To Impress
Having four competitions to juggle is an alien thing to most Forest fans under a certain age, but it’s the same number for the manager as he negotiated last season with Spurs. You’d have to assume that The Carabao Cup is the lowest on those list of priorities, coming earlier in the season than the FA Cup and with less prestige than European competition.
Big Ange will therefore most likely take this opportunity to have a look at some players he’s not too familiar with, which should give opportunity to Forests’ seven new signings that were on the bench at The Emirates on Saturday lunch time.
📊 Swansea v Nottingham Forest H2H
These two sides last met during Nottingham Forest’s promotion season from the Championship in 2021/22, with Forest thumping the Swans both times, recording 1-4 and 5-1 victories.
