Guiseley v Brackley Town (National League North)
🏟
Tuesday 8th March – 7:45PM KO
I’m backing the expected away victory on Tuesday evening when Guiseley host Brackley Town at Nethermoor Park.
The Lions, managed by joint-managers Marcus Bignot and Russ O’Neill, have endured a tough run of fixtures, losing away at AFC Fylde, Southport, Hereford and York City. However, they have won their last two and are unbeaten in four on home turf. This is a different test, however. Their recent home matches have been against sides outside of the top ten with their victory against Darlington their only win against a side 13th or higher. They have picked up just two points in their 14 matches against sides in the top ten and have scored in just one of seven home matches against the same opposition.
Brackley, meanwhile, are excellent against sides in the bottom half. They have played 13 matches against sides 13th or lower in the table and won ten, drawing the other three. They have conceded just four goals in those matches and only one in their seven away matches against such opposition. Since defeat at Kettering Town at the turn of the year, Brackley are unbeaten in nine matches and have conceded just three goals, including none in their last four.
It’s the side with the fewest goals taking on the side with the fewest conceded and going with the form book.

Prediction: Brackley to Win, 1.8 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Maidstone United v Braintree Town (National League South)
🏟
Tuesday 8th March – 7:45PM KO
The Gallagher Stadium will play host to two in-form sides in one of two National League South fixtures this midweek.
It’s a game that hosts Maidstone United will need to win if they are to keep pace with Dorking Wanderers, especially having lost against their title rivals at the end of February. The Stones have been excellent at home since losing against Slough Town in early November, winning each of the last eight and scoring two or more in the last seven. That has included victories against promotion contenders Dartford, Ebbsfleet United and Oxford City. Their record against the sides near the bottom of the table has been excellent, winning four of five home matches against the bottom seven and winning eight of ten overall, drawing the other two.
It may be a step too far for a Braintree Town side that have well and truly turned their season around in recent weeks. The Iron spent the first half of the season sat alongside Billericay Town at the bottom of the league table having won two of their opening 18 fixtures. They are now 11 points clear of the sole relegation slot having won four of their last five and lost just one of their last ten in the league. However, they have not faced any of the top five during this run and are yet to beat any of the top six having lost away at Dulwich Hamlet a couple of weeks back.

Prediction: Over 1.5 Maidstone Goals, 1.4 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
