Watford are unbeaten at home this season, winning five and drawing one of their six games. They have defeated top of the table Sunderland, as well as Boro and Blackburn who are currently top 10 sides.

Oxford are winless on the road, with two draws and four defeats. The two draws came at Luton (19th) and Portsmouth (24th). The most likely result for us here is Watford to win, but we’ll cover off the draw as well for some added security.

11 of Watford’s 14 league games have gone over 1.5 goals, including five of six at Vicarage Road. Their games average 3.1 goals so far this season, well above what we need here.

As per our Bet Builder Level 1 pick, we think a Watford win is the most likely result here, and so do the bookmakers, pricing them up at odds on.

Oxford have only won one of their last eight games, which came on Tuesday night at home against Hull City, and even then they only managed a total of four shots.

Watford lost at a Swansea side who are playing well at the moment, but that doesn’t worry us as they are a different proposition at home.

10 out of 14 games have gone over 2.5 goals in Watford’s Championship campaign so far, and as mentioned above their games produce an average of 3.1 goals.

Four of Oxfords six games away form The Kassam Stadium have gone over 2.5 goals. We expect Watford to win, but we wouldn’t rule out Oxford scoring, if both of those things are to happen, this match will have to exceed the 2 goal line.

The stats are in the research in bet builder one, but to add to them, he is likely to be up against Festy Ebosele down his side. Ebosele has drawn two fouls per 90 this season and with Watford expected to dominate proceedings, Brown could be in for a busy night.

Bayo scored four goals at Hillsborough last weekend, so should be high on confidence for this one. He had only scored once prior to that game but was underperforming his xG of 3.15.

In terms of cards, he has been shown two yellows this season, and is committing 1.87 fouls per 90. He’s an all action player and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him hit both of these selections on Friday night.
