📈 Wolves v West Ham Form & Stats

Prior to their draw in midweek, Wolves had suffered 12 consecutive defeats across all competitions, in a run dating back to the start of October. It took eight games for Rob Edwards to secure his first point as Wolves boss, but it is worth noting how four of his seven defeats have come by a one-goal margin.

They have been quite unfortunate in recent weeks, and were certainly due a positive result. Wolves managed to create some promising chances at Anfield, and were unfortunate not to find the equalising goal. They also gave league-leaders Arsenal a real run for their money, and it took a 94th-minute own goal for the Gunners to secure all three points at the Emirates.

West Ham were also able to secure a point on Tuesday night, as they held on to a 2-2 draw against Brighton. The Seagulls had plenty of chances, forcing five saves from Alphonse Areola, while Danny Welbeck also hit the crossbar from a penalty, but were unable to find the decisive goal. The Hammers currently occupy 18th spot in the Premier League, four points adrift of safety, and they have failed to win any of their last eight league matches.

📔 Wolves v West Ham Formation & Team News

Jhon Arias made a return to the starting lineup in midweek, featuring in place of the suspended Andre - the Colombian could feature again to bring an extra bit of creativity in midfield.

Hwang Hee-Chan was forced off late on against Man United, meaning Jorgen Strand Larsen could return to the starting lineup on Saturday afternoon. With Emmanuel Agbadou at AFCON and Toti Gomes injured, Matt Doherty featured at centre back at Old Trafford, allowing Jackson Tchatchoua to start as the right wingback.

After getting on the scoresheet and registering his first assist in over two years, Lucas Paqueta was forced off in the dying embers of the match against Brighton in midweek, although the injury shouldn’t be serious enough to keep him out of starting against Wolves.

If he does miss out, Cryscencio Summerville should return to the starting lineup. Jean-Clair Todibo was another casualty in midweek, substituted at half-time, meaning Konstantinos Mavropanos should feature alongside former Wolves man Max Kilman at Molineux.
