Deportrio were pretty average in the Baller League last season, but have a kind start to their campaign this year as they face up against one of the new sides to Baller League in Gold Devils FC.

Only really NDL have managed to make a strong start to the Baller League as a new side, with the others struggling in the early weeks of the campaign. Deportrio have been in the Baller League for the last two years, and managed to finish top of the pile in the league phase in the debut year of Baller League UK.

I think they’ll have the advantage of being familiar with the format, and be motivated to right the wrongs of last year which saw them finish mid table in the league phase, and miss out on the play-offs altogether.

I backed Yanited to win the Baller League last year, after they narrowly missed out on the title in the play-offs in year one, but they never quite managed to find the right momentum in the league phase and finished 10th in the table - missing out on the play-offs.

Angry Ginge’s side are probably the most instantly recognisable in Baller League, and will be motivated to get back amongst the top four sides this term. They take on a VZN side that they have comfortably beaten in each of the last two seasons, coming away 4-1 winners last year and 6-1 winners in year one.

VZN finished rock bottom in the league phase of the Baller League last year, winning just three of their 11 matches in the competition. VZN lost more games than any other Baller League side last term (seven), and they don't look much stronger this term.

I mentioned earlier that NDL were the only new side to Baller League last year to make a strong start, and I think they’ll continue to be a threatening side this season.

NDL are probably the most chaotic side in the Baller League, so this will be a difficult introduction to the league phase for Community FC.

NDL finished 2nd in the Baller League last season, losing to SDS in the final of the play-offs. They won six of their 11 games in the league phase, notably drawing just one of those games. They also scored more goals than any other side in the league phase last season (46).
