Elche v Levante

La Liga

18:30

Roger Brugue to have 1+ Shot on Target

Roger Brugue was Levante’s standout attacking outlet last season, finishing as the club’s top league scorer in La Liga 2 and playing a key role in their successful promotion push. Back in the top flight, Levante have suffered consecutive defeats, but performances have been encouraging, with Brugue once again proving central to their attacking play.

Against reigning champions Barcelona, the 28-year-old registered three shots, two of which hit the target. He also looked sharp in the opening game against Alaves, accounting for one of Levante’s seven attempts - again he landed this selection. Brugue has so far maintained a similar output to last season, where he averaged 2.4 shots per 90, with 40% of those efforts on target.

The Spaniard bagged a brace on his last visit to the Martinez Valero Stadium, while also scoring against Elche in the reverse fixture. It is an opponent he clearly enjoys facing, and Brugue will look to leave his mark once more.

Lens v Brest

Ligue 1

19:45

Wesley Said to Score or be Shown a Card

Last season, Wesley Said played a limited role for Lens, starting just 11 league games and scoring three goals, often finding himself reduced to cameo appearances from the bench. This season has been different though, as Lens have re-structured their forward line - Said has taken on a much larger responsibility in the final third.

The French international featured for 89 minutes last time out against Le Havre, where he opened his goalscoring account from the penalty spot. He is priced at 2.88 to get on the scoresheet against a Brest side who have shipped five goals from their two league games so far.

Beyond his attacking contributions, Said has already racked up seven fouls in two games, and has been fortunate to escape a booking. Even last season, despite limited minutes, Said averaged 2.18 fouls per 90 minutes, showing his willingness to duel. His price of 8.0 to be carded also looks like a standout pick.

Realistically, both prices appeal as singles, but to combine the two at odds against is impossible to ignore.

Leicester vs Birmingham

Championship

Ethan Laird to Commit 2+ Fouls

Abdul Fatawu endured a frustrating previous campaign, sidelined for an extended period with a knee injury, but he has returned for the 25/26 campaign. The Ghanaian winger opened his account in style last time out against Charlton, firing in a wonderful strike from the edge of the box.

Fatawu is incredibly direct in his approach, and will often look to beat his marker. Across his three league appearances so far, the 21-year-old has been fouled eight times, while also drawing an average of 2.94 fouls per 90 in the Premier League last season.

This weekend, Ethan Laird will likely be tasked with dealing with Fatawu, and it promises to be a tough test for the fullback. Last season, Laird averaged 1.93 fouls per 90 minutes in League One. Although he is yet to commit a foul in the Championship this campaign, he has not yet faced an opponent as technical as Fatawu.
