Heidenheim v Hannover
🏟
Friday 4th February – 5:30 PM KO
Friday night under the lights in Bundesliga 2 and we kick things off in Heidenheim. Heidenheim’s previous match was an away game against Hansa Rostock, where they booked a 0-0 draw. This is a continuation of good results for Frank Schmidt and his men. Heidenheim have secured seven points from their last three matches. They have lost just once in their seven most recent league games and have won five. They have also won four straight at home and six of their last seven. This puts Heidenheim in a decent sixth spot so far and makes them the favorites for a win in this match.
That’s also because Hannover simply are not doing well. They sit in thirteenth place, but are seven points clear of the drop zone. They are sparked a bit by a few recent good results, winning three of their last five. They have however lost 8 of their 20 games, and Hannover’s goal scoring record is woeful. They have scored just 15 goals in 20 games, a league worst together with bottom ranked Ingolstadt. Hannover have won their last two away games, but one of these was against aforementioned Ingolstadt.
In transfer news, Heidenheim have kept relatively quiet during the Transfer Deadline period. Only Florian Pick has been loaned out. He only appeared in 10 games with scarce minutes.
Hannover has seen Tom Trybull depart. Valmir Sulejmani and Franck Evina have also left the club. They have however combined played just 9 matches. Julian Börner is suspended and will be missed more. (15 apps). Sei Muroya (16 apps) is also unavailable. Hannover will definitely need to make a few rotation adjustments and could come out on the losing end because of that as well.

Nurnberg v Ingolstadt
🏟
Friday 4th February- 5:30PM KO
I really see this being a home win for the Nürnberg side. They are having a reasonable season and come off a 1-0 away win at Düsseldorf. Even though it has been a little hit and miss at times for the side, winning four and losing five of their last nine they now are placed 7th in the rankings, trailing 3rd ranked Werder Bremen by just two points. As they face bottom-ranked and hopeless Ingolstadt, the home team are the strong favorites here.
Ingolstadt are bottom and have secured just 10 points from their 20 games played, through 2 wins and 4 draws. They have lost three of their last four and have only managed to beat Dresden in their last 15 league games. Furthermore, the side have won and drawn only once away from home, losing eight matches in the process. They have also lost six of their last seven matches.
Nürnberg have kept quiet on the transfer market in these last few days. There has been some activity for Ingolstadt though. Nassim Boujellab leaves the club, Valmir Sulejmani comes. Patrick Sussek however departs. Both departing players didn’t feature much though, so it shouldn’t be a big loss to the side. Sulejmani could compete for a starting role. Fatih Kaya is out for Ingolstadt, he has appeared 16 times, and has scored 3 goals. Sulejmani could play for him, it could also be Hans Nunoo Sarpei, who has played just twice this season.
