After a precarious start to the season for Fulham, back-to-back wins has established some daylight between them and the relegation spots, and Marco Silva will hope to keep building momentum. However, they face a tough test against Man City on Tuesday night, who travel down to London after beating Leeds at the weekend.

📈 Fulham v Man City Form & Tactics

It was late drama at the Etihad last time out, as Phil Foden bagged in the 91st-minute to break Man City out of their winless rut. The Englishman opened the scoring within the first minute, and after Josko Gvardiol doubled the hosts’ lead after 25 minutes, it was looking like a regulation victory for Man City. But Leeds mounted a second-half comeback led by Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The former Everton man scored just four minutes after his introduction, before then winning the penalty which led to Lukas Nmecha’s equaliser. Pep Guardiola’s team were the dominant force for large parts of the game, and would be satisfied with taking the three points in the end.

Fulham were also able to secure a one-goal victory at the weekend, as they held on at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to a 2-1 win. The visitors got off to a rapid start, taking a two-goal lead within the first six minutes. The Cottagers were content to sit deep for the remainder of the game, and they offered very little going forward. In fact, Marco Silva's men registered just two shots after the 15th minute. However, the Cottagers deserve credit for restricting Spurs to just two shots on target.

📔 Fulham v Man City Formation & Team News

After his weekend heroics, Foden is likely to retain his spot in the starting XI for Man City, playing behind Erling Haaland. The Norwegian has failed to score in any of his last three appearances in all competitions - a serious goal drought by his standards, so he will hope to return to normality and get on the scoresheet on Tuesday night. Despite only making a brief appearance off the bench, Rayan Cherki provided the assist for Foden and will be pushing to start in midweek. Guardiola made several changes against Bayer Leverkusen last week, but given how that game went, the Spaniard might lean towards a similar XI to the one that beat Leeds.

After returning from suspension at the weekend, Sasa Lukic was benched with Alex Iwobi starting in a deeper midfield role, but the Serbian could be set for a recall. Samuel Chukwueze looked like a real threat on the break against Spurs, so he could be preferred to start on the left wing again here over Kevin.
