Panaitolikos vs Aris
🏟
Sunday 28th August – 5:00PM KO
Aris kicked off the 2022/23 Super League season in style with a convincing 3-0 win over newly-promoted Levadiakos on home soil. Germán Burgos’ men took a two-goal lead in the first half through Daniel Mancini, who netted a brace.
The Thessaloniki-based side possess one of the finest attacking lines in Greek football after strengthening their team with big signings during the summer transfer window. Aris have scored in all but one of their last 10 games – including their preseason friendlies. They netted as many as nine goals in their four Conference League qualifying duels, having scored the first goal in seven of the last eight matches in which they found the back of the net.
As for Panaitolikos, they have scored just four goals in their last 10 games – including the preseason friendlies. Giannis Anastasiou’s men lost 1-0 away at PAOK in their Super League opener after a season in which they conceded more goals than all but two teams.
Last season, a much weaker Aris side netted a total of seven goals in two matches against Panaitolikos, who have not strengthened their team adequately during the summer transfer window. In 2021/22, Aris averaged more than one goal per game on the road and this year Burgos’ side is expected to be even more clinical in the final third.
Aris have netted in all but two of their last 10 games away from home and they will take the initiative from the off away at Panaitolikos. Aris to win at 2.0 is intriguing, Aris Draw No Bet at 1.38 is a safe bet, but I will go for Aris to score first at 1.67.

Asteras Tripolis vs Olympiacos
🏟
Monday 29th August – 5:00PM KO
Just four days after beating Apollon Limassol on penalties to clinch qualification to the Europa League group stage, Olympiacos is traveling to Tripoli, where they have not registered a single defeat since 2014.
In fact, Olympiacos have gone 10 games unbeaten away at Asteras Tripolis, winning half of these encounters. The Greek reigning champions ended coach Pedro Martins’ four-year spell in the dugout following a painful Champions League elimination at the hands of Maccabi Haifa in the summer qualifiers.
A relatively inexperienced Carlos Corberán took charge of the team and led them to the Europa League group stage, but Olympiacos have been extremely poor in this first stretch of the season. The Reds conceded at least one goal in all their six European qualifying matches. They registered no win in those six matches, progressing to the next phase twice on penalties.
Olympiacos’ defence has been suffering as all their four centre-backs are struggling to rediscover their form, while big signing, defender Sime Vrsaljko is lacking match fitness after picking up an injury.
As for Asteras, the club has high expectations this season under new coach Iraklis Metaxas, who did a great job last year at PAS Giannina. After missing out on the playoff spots last term, Asteras want to bounce back and secure a top-six spot this year.
Asteras have conceded at least one goal in all but one of their last eight home duels. They haven’t scored in any of their last five home matches against Olympiacos, but this stat could work as extra motivation for a team who have what it takes to make the most of Olympiacos’ defensive frailties.
Asteras drew 3-3 away at Volos in their Super League opener and they should be able to score at least one goal against Olympiacos. The Greek champions received a boost in confidence following the Europa League qualification and they are expected to push for a victory from the off. Both teams to score is very tempting at 1.9.

Prediction: Both Teams to Score, 1.90 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
