Royal Ascot consists of five days of high class flat horse racing (Tuesday-Saturday), with seven races per day. The biggest race of the week is the St James’ Palace Stakes, which takes place on Wednesday and is worth £1m in prize money.

When does Royal Ascot start?

Royal Ascot begins on Tuesday, 17th June 2025. The meeting lasts five days in total, with the final race day being on Saturday, 21st June 2025. There are seven races per day, and 35 races in total.

Where is Royal Ascot?

Royal Ascot racecourse is located in Berkshire in England. The famous track is located around 25 miles west of London, and in the middle of Reading, Slough and Woking.
