📈 Como v Inter Milan Form & Stats

Inter Milan secured a much-needed win against Roma last time out, ending a three-game winless run. They did it in commanding fashion, too. Lautaro Martinez marked his return from injury by opening the scoring in the first minute, and the Nerazzurri went into the half-time interval with a 2-1 lead.

They came out firing at the San Siro in the second period, finding themselves 5-1 up after 63 minutes, and it looked like the scoreline was about to get out of hand. Inter were destructive in the final third against a competitive Roma side, meaning they are now seven points clear at the top of the pile, with seven league games remaining.

Como are also doing incredibly well this season, and not many would have predicted a top-four finish for them pre-season. Cesc Fabregas’ men were on a five-game winning streak before the international break, but the hiatus seems to have ruined their momentum, and Como were left frustrated on Monday night.

They were unable to find the back of the net against Udinese, and it finished 0-0. Still, they remain in the top four, albeit with just a one-point lead on Juventus.

Christian Chivu will be able to welcome Carlos Augusto back to the squad for this game, after he was suspended against Roma, but Inter are unlikely to make too many changes to their eleven from that game.

Martinez and Marcus Thuram should partner up again, with Dumfries and Federico Dimarco to provide width from the wingback positions. Alessandro Bastoni made his return from injury to feature in the back three last time out, and he should play alongside Francesco Acerbi and Manuel Akanji here. 

Como should set up in a familiar 4-2-3-1 formation, with Jean Butez in goal. Marc-Oliver Kempf and Diego Carlos are expected at the heart of defence with Jacobo Ramon nursing a muscle injury.

Nico Paz should occupy the number ten role, with Assane Diao and Baturina out on the wings. Anastosios Douvikas is the prime candidate to lead the line, but Alvaro Morata is another option.
