Expect some big checkouts when Luke Humphries faces Peter Wright at the World Darts Championships on Sunday night. Both players have produced a number of eye-catching big finishes across their opening two victories at this year's showpiece. Humphries had the Ally Pally crowd on their feet with a roof-raising 160 finish against Thibault Tricole in round two before chalking up a 145 checkout in the final set of his third round success against Nick Kenny. As for Wright, he took out a 127 finish when plotting his way past Wesley Plaisier before checking out on 117 against Jermaine Wattimena. Thus, backing both players to each deliver a 100+ checkout here holds plenty of appeal. Meanwhile, Wright also looks worth siding with to produce a minimum of four 180s during this heavyweight showdown. Despite struggling for form this year, ‘Snakebite’ has still managed to rack up a shade of just under 300 maximums across 2024 to date. He fired in four 180s against Plaisier before crashing in a mightily impressive 10 maximums en-route to victory over Wattimena.
