If that happens, then simply taking him to have 3 or more shots seems like a great bet builder addition, because it’s something he usually manages when on the field for long enough. He should also be motivated to make an impact and try to force his way in for more important games.

🚀Johan Bakayoko to have 2+ Shots 🔄

📈 Odds: 1.22

Bakayoko averages 3.10 shots per game in the Champions League this season which is actually higher than his rate in the Eredivisie (2.20). In UCL matches teams are less defensive v PSV and he will have more space and time on the break. He had 3 shots v Brest, 5 vs Shakhtar, 4 v Girona and 5 against Sporting. At home against a Liverpool team who should rest some key players you would expect Bakayoko to fire in a few shots. Simply taking him to have 2 or more attempts, which is less than his seasonal average in the Champions League, looks like the safest direction to go for this bet builder.

PSV have only failed to score in 2 matches this season in all competitions, which were away to Brest and Heerenveen. They are a goalscoring juggernaut and it takes a lot to keep them off the scoresheet. The likes of Juventus, PSG and Sporting have all failed to shut them out this season and you would expect them to hit the back of the net against a heavily rotated Liverpool. The visitors have also only failed to score in 2 competitive matches this season with Nottingham Forest and Spurs reducing them to a couple of 1-0 defeats. Liverpool will be rotating heavily but still possess strong backup players who will be keen to make a mark. You would also expect them to get on the scoresheet, and they might have to if the defence struggles without a potentially rested Virgin van Dijk. Both teams to score looks like a decent start to any bet builder and also covers for the 1-1 draw which would suit both teams.

Veteran striker Luuk de Jong is quite simply PSV’s biggest goalscoring threat. He has racked up a massive 38 Eredivisie goals since the start of last season in addition to 10 in the Champions League. He’s the ultimate fox in the box, he has a great sense of positioning and is very experienced. If PSV get on the scoresheet he is the most likely contender and facing a possible makeshift Liverpool defence won’t do him any harm either. He is the #1 penalty taker in the team and looks a decent addition to add to any bet builder in a favourable situation to score anytime.

This is a great chance for Darwin Nunez to make his mark. He scored 2 crucial goals against Brentford recently and should still be feeling confident after that game. He didn’t manage to get into the game v Lille last week but it was a slow paced game facing a strong tactical setup. This has the potential to be a more open game and right now he is probably going to be Liverpool’s biggest attacking threat on the field. Mohamed Salah might not even travel with the squad and Cody Gakpo will probably be on the bench for a breather. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the Uruguay international to get on the scoresheet. He’s a difficult player to trust but if he is to score, this is probably the right type of fixture.

🛑 Darwin Nunez to Commit 2+ Fouls 🔄

📈 Odds: 2.80

He should be fired up to score which could lead to some aggressive pressing and more chances of committing fouls. Nunez averages 1.20 fouls per game in the Premier League this season and 1.10 in the Champions League. It’s highly likely he won’t play a clean game, and the question is how many fouls will he rack up? Let’s not forget that this is a player who has obtained 14 cards in the last 2 seasons and is known for pushing his luck too far with some excessive challenges. He will want to pressurise defenders so taking the Uruguay man to commit 2 or more fouls looks like a big price under the circumstances.
