Abdukodir Khusanov is perhaps the most recognisable name in the Uzbekistan squad having signed for Manchester City last summer. The 22-year-old played a key role in helping his side secure both domestic trophies - the EFL Cup and FA Cup, while Man City also finished 2nd in the Premier League. Khusanov made 37 appearances across all competitions this season under Pep Guardiola, and he will now be tasked with marshalling the defensive line for Uzbekistan at the World Cup. 

Abbosbek Fayzullaev

Abbosbek Fayzullaev plays alongside Shomurodov for Basaksehir, and he will be the link between defence and attack for Uzbekistan. Fayzullaev was one of only three Uzbekistan players to feature in all 16 qualifying games, during which he contributed four goals and two assists. The 22-year-old is also expected to play a big role this summer. He is intelligent on the ball, strong in his challenges, and Fayzullaev will be hoping to make a name for himself at this tournament.
