Pulisic has been Milan’s best performer in the final third this season with nine goal contributions across his nine appearances in Serie A (seven goals, two assists) - more than any other Milan player.

This is pretty significant as Milan sit top of the league, so Pulisic is regularly providing for one of the best sides in the division and can continue to be a threat here. Pulisic has been directly involved in 40% of the goals that Milan have scored in Serie A this season.

Pulisic has had 14 shots across these appearances (2.83 per 90) with an impressive 10 of those attempts finding the target (2.02 per 90). This is a shot accuracy of 71% which is incredibly promising when looking to back Pulisic to find the target here.

Pulisic has had a shot on target in four of his last five appearances in Serie A for Milan, and should continue to benefit from being played as one of two forwards in Allegri’s 3-5-2 system.

An angle that I've revisited quite a few times this season when betting on Milan is backing the opposition centre backs to commit fouls. Allegri has switched Milan to a 3-5-2 since he took over at the club, and always leaves at least two players high up the pitch to occupy the opposition centre backs.

Muharemovic is priced more appealingly than his centre back partner (Jay Idzes - 1.33), so I’ve opted to back him to commit at least one foul against the forecasted front two of Christopher Nkunku and Christian Pulisic. This angle can be stronger when Rafael Leao is in the side as he is their most serial foul winner, but it’s still strong with Pulisic and Nkunku, who have combined to win 3.27 fouls per 90 in Serie A this season.

Muharemovic has committed a foul in two of his last five appearances in Serie A, including against Fiorentina in Sassuolo’s most recent domestic assignment. Overall, he’s committed 10 fouls across his 11 appearances in Serie A this term (0.91 per 90). The Bosnian centre back isn’t the most mobile and is likely to struggle with the speed and movement of the former Chelsea duo.

Serie A matches can be quite a drag at times with the intense focus on tactical systems and pragmatism, but this has the makings of a clash that could produce a few goals.

Milan have seen 16 goals across their seven home matches this term (2.28 per game) and could cover this line on their own, seeing as they’ve won five of their seven home matches this season.

Furthermore, Sassuolo have seen 17 goals across their seven away matches this season (2.42 per game) with 2+ goals landing in each of their last five matches across all competitions, winning two of those games, including a 3-1 win over struggling Fiorentina last time out.

Each of the last two head-to-head meetings, both taking place within the last year, have seen 2+ goals. Milan ran out 6-1 winners in the most recent clash between the sides in the Coppa Italia, with the most recent league meeting ending in a 3-3 draw.

AC Milan have been the most complete side in Serie A so far this season, with Massimiliano Allegri effectively engineering a system which has brought some consistency to a side that really struggled last season, missing out on Europe altogether.

This could actually play out to their advantage in the league, with the majority of their opponents at the top of Serie A competing in some sort of European competition, giving AC Milan an edge when it comes to fitness in these gameweeks following a European matchday.

Milan have won five of their seven games at home this season, with Cremonese being the only side to beat them at home. That victory came on the first weekend of the season, when Milan were still adapting to the style and structure of Allegri. Milan have only lost one game in all competitions since that defeat, which was a 1-0 loss to Lazio in the Coppa Italia.

Sassuolo can be a stubborn side, as displayed by their three wins on the road this season, but they do lack the resilience to be able to grind out results, they've only drawn two of their 14 matches in Serie A this term, suggesting that their results tend to swing in either direction.
