Bournemouth v Leicester Betting Preview & Quick Tips

Jed Langham
I’ve always been obsessed with sports. Over time, this passion naturally evolved into a fascination with stats and sports betting, especially football. The Premier League is my bread and butter, having grown up watching it, but my interest spans leagues across the globe - if there's a game on, I'll find a punting angle for it.
Bournemouth v Leicester
Kick Off: Sunday 24th May at 16:00
Competition: Premier League
Bournemouth welcome Leicester City to the Vitality Stadium on the final day of the Premier League season. With Leicester already relegated and Bournemouth comfortably secured in mid table, the match may lack the usual intensity of a Premier League fixture.
Both sides could rotate their squads, with little left to play for in terms of league position. However, pride is still on the line. Bournemouth will look to end their campaign on a high in front of their home fans, while Leicester bid farewell to top-flight football - at least for next season.
⭐ Bournemouth v Leicester Predictions and Best Bets
Bournemouth have shown consistent attacking intent this season, averaging 1.51 goals per game. Leicester, on the other hand, have struggled defensively, conceding an average of 2.11 goals per match. While Leicester have picked up two wins in their last three outings, it's worth noting that those victories came against the other two relegated sides. There's little to suggest a significant defensive improvement, and Bournemouth could take full advantage.
Leicester have opened the scoring in six of their last sevenmeetings with Bournemouth, and they're currently enjoying their best attacking spell of the season, netting six goals in their last three games. Bournemouth, with little to play for, have conceded first in each of their last three matches and may be slow out of the blocks again here, giving Leicester a solid chance to strike first.
🔴 An brilliant showing in 2024/25 despite drop-off
Bournemouth have endured a disappointing end to the season, with just one win in their last five matches and only two victories in their last 12. A stronger run of form might have seen them push for a European spot - a target that their squad arguably has the quality to reach.
Instead, they find themselves in 11th place, though the tightly packed mid table means that position could still change. Their home form has been particularly underwhelming, with seven defeats at the Vitality Stadium and an average of just 1.16 goals scored per game on home turf.
🔵 A season to forget for Leicester
Despite having been relegated some time ago, Leicester have found a late spark and are looking to end the season on a high. They’re unbeaten in their last three matches, with two wins and a draw against a strong Nottingham Forest side still fighting for points.
Their most recent home fixture featured a morale-boosting win and a fitting farewell for club legend Jamie Vardy. While this late form offers some encouragement, it doesn’t erase a season plagued by defensive issues. Leicester have one of the worst defensive records in the league and have struggled going forward as well, averaging just 0.89 goals per game.
📊 Bournemouth v Leicester Head-to-Head Key Stats
Leicester claimed a rare win in their last game against Bournemouth, edging a 1-0 result in what was a fairly balanced contest - though Bournemouth arguably deserved more from the game. Historically, Leicester have been something of a bogey team for the Cherries, having scored first in six of the last seven meetings and led at half time in five of those.
Discipline and set-piece stats also point to a relatively tame fixture between the two sides. Fewer than five cards have been shown in five of the last seven encounters, while under 10.5 corners has landed in six of the last eight.
