📈 What is Burnley and Brighton's Current Form?

Anthony’s good form hasn’t been enough to inspire Burnley, and the Clarets head into this clash on a miserable run of form. They were beaten 3-1 by Fulham last time out, and the hosts had plenty of success going forward - they racked up 22 shots and four big chances at Craven Cottage, worth 3.15 xG. To make matters worse, Josh Laurent was sent off in the final minutes for a last man foul, so he will be suspended this weekend. It has been another season to forget for Scott Parker, and it looks like Burnley will be playing in the Championship next season. 

Brighton head into this weekend in much stronger form, and they pulled off an impressive win against Liverpool just before the international break. Danny Welbeck opened the scoring for the hosts, before Milos Kerkez equalised soon after, capitalising on a mistake at the back. However, 35-year-old Welbeck was on hand to find the back of the net once again, netting his 12th league goal of the season. The Seagulls have won four of their last five matches, with the sole defeat in that stretch coming against league-leaders Arsenal, so they will hope to pick back up where they left off.

With no fresh injury concerns over the international break, Fabian Hurzeler is likely to go with an unchanged eleven to that which beat Liverpool. However, his regular captain, Lewis Dunk will be suspended after accumulating too many yellow cards. Olivier Boscagli looks set for a recall to the back four to partner Jan Paul Van Hecke. James Milner and Pascal Gross should continue in midfield, with Jack Hinshelwood further forward. Yankuba Minteh and Diego Gomez are likely to feature on the flanks, with Welbeck leading the line. 

Scott Parker has a much larger injury list to contend with, as Josh Cullen and Axel Tuanzebe remain out. Laurent is also suspended, meaning James Ward-Prowse and Lesley Ugochukwu should partner up in midfield.  Zian Flemming is Burnley’s top scorer this season, and should get the nod over Armando Broja, while Marcus Edwards will hope to return to the starting eleven.
