📈 Brentford v Everton Form & Stats

Brentford head into this clash in mixed form - they have only lost one of their last seven league matches, but with four draws in that period, the Bees have stuttered slightly. However, they remain in contention for a European spot and will be motivated to get back on track in front of a home crowd this weekend. Brentford have only lost three home games all season, but two of those have come in January - they were against Brighton and Nottingham Forest, who weren’t in particularly good form, either.

Everton have been a lot more convincing in their recent games, and they will be hoping to pick up where they left off just before the international break. The Toffees most recently secured a 3-0 win over Chelsea, which is arguably their most convincing result of the campaign. Beto bagged himself a brace in that match, while Iliman Ndiaye was also on the scoresheet. Prior to that, they were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal at the Emirates, which ended a six-game unbeaten run on the road for Everton. The Toffees have lost five away games in the Premier League this season: Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Leeds. They tend to struggle against the top sides, but will view this match against Brentford as winnable.

📔 Brentford v Everton Formation & Team News

Brentford have been quite consistent with their 4-2-3-1 shape this season, but Keith Andrews opted for a more defensive 5-3-2 against Leeds just before the international break, and it finished 0-0. Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey remain out injured, so Brentford could go for a similar eleven here, with a familiar front three of Dango Ouattara, Kevin Schade and Thiago. Mikkel Damsgaard suffered a knee injury against Wolves just before the international break, so he is doubtful to feature here.

Jack Grealish is the only injury concern for Everton coming into this clash, so it could be an unchanged eleven for the Toffees. Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski should partner up at the back, with James Garner and Gueye looking to support the backline from midfield. Further forward, Beto is likely to get the nod over Thierno Barry after his heroics against Chelsea, with Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil on the flanks.
