Pre-season, this probably would have been seen as a match that Leicester were expecting to win, but the way that both teams have started makes this anything but a gimme for Marti Cifuentes’ side.

📂 Charlton v Leicester Cheat Sheet
📈 Charlton v Leicester Form & Tactics
Nathan Jones has used a variety of formations across his time as a manager, so he is not someone you can just pigeonhole into one formation. What you can expect, though, is a level of commitment, both physical and mental, that will last the 90 minutes and put the opposition under pressure as much as possible.
Jones has been favouring a four-at-the-back system in the first couple of Championship matches and has been consistent in his selection. The result is a very well-balanced, well organised group who know their roles exactly. Kayne Ramsey at right back has been earning rave reviews in particular.
There is competition for places in the forward positions, but big summer signing Charlie Kelman is being given the chance to cement a place; however, Miles Leaburn is fit and pushing Kelman for a start.
Charlton have drawn 0-0 and won 1-0 with a last-minute winner, so concentration has been on keeping things tight defensively.
Marti Cifuentes has retained the familiar 4-2-3-1 that we have seen from Leicester for a while now. They use inverted wingers to create shooting opportunities alongside a central striker who is expected to be the main conduit of goals in the team.
At the moment, Bilal El Khannous is a key player in the #10 role. He is another major goal threat, but also the creative hub of the team. Luke Thomas and James Justin keep the width from full back, but neither would be classed as flying wing backs.
Leicester scraped over the line against Sheffield Wednesday and then were beaten at Preston. Their form is questionable, and there is a general bad feeling around the club at the moment that cannot be helping the situation on the pitch.
