Estonia v Israel

🗓️

Kick Off: Friday 6th June at 19:45

🏆

Competition: World Cup 2026 Qualifying

Estonia host Israel in the race for World Cup qualification, with both sides having three points from their two games so far.

Israel are favourites for this one, priced at 1.44 whilst Estonia can be backed at 7.0.

The bookies have under 2.5 goals as slight favourite at 1.75, whilst over 2.5 is 1.95, which is a little surprising given the meeting between the two sides in March went over 2.5 (a 2-1 win for Israel).

Estonia are currently 2nd in the group, one place and one goal above Israel in 3rd. The hosts won in Moldova last time out, whilst Israel lost at home to Norway.

Over 2.5 is at a nice backable price here at 1.95, considering there were three goals and 36 shots between these two sides last time out, and each side's two games so far have gone over 2.5.

We would also have a look at over 3.5 goals at 3.30, given there were five goals in Estonia’s last outing, and six in Israel’s.

Looking at the match market, at the prices Estonia or draw is worth a try on the double chance market at 2.50, given they were only narrowly defeated 2-1 in the last meeting of the two sides, and they now hold home advantage.

🔵 Estonia Victors in Moldova Last Time Out

Estonia won 3-2 in Moldova in their last game, which was the Blueshirts' first away win since January 2023.

In between that away win in January and 2023 and their victory last time out, Estonia’s record reads: P23 W2 D4 L17. In qualifiers during that time, they have only recorded 1 xG or more on two occasions.

They’ve conceded 40 goals in competitive games during that spell, but that was mainly against sides well above their level, whereas they have already proven more competitive against their opposition in this qualifying group.

Improving Israel

Israel have been in impressive form of late, holding France to a 0-0 draw in the Nations League, before recording a 1-0 victory over Belgium in the same competition. The wins came against heavily rotated opposition, but are still really good achievements.

They carried that good feeling into a victory over Estonia, where they should probably have won by a wider margin, looking at the match stats. Israel were well beaten by Norway last time out, however, conceding 4 xG, so it will be interesting to see how they bounce back from that defeat.

📊 Estonia v Israel Head-to-Head Key Stats

As touched on above, Israel prevailed with a 2-1 victory over Estonia back in March.

The first half was pretty even, with Israel having the majority of possession and attempting shots from range, equalising through an own goal, and Estonia had taken a 10th-minute lead.

Israel dominated the second half, as Estonia tried to cling on to a point, taking 17 shots and generating over 2 xG, before taking the lead in the 75th minute.

Estonia ended the game with ten men, as they have done in both games so far.
