The 2026 Champions League Final will take place at the The Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary, on Saturday 30th May 2026 - Kick off: 20:00.
Who Will Win the Champions League 2026?
PSG are the current favourites to retain their Champions League crown from the 2024/25 season. The Parisians are currently priced at 5/1 to win the tournament.
Second favourites are Liverpool at 7/1, who have a rich history in the competition, winning it six times in their history. Liverpool have been busy in the summer transfer window, and could be worth siding with.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal are next in the betting, all at around 9/1, with Man City, Bayern Munich and Chelsea the next three fancied teams.
2025/26 Champions League Format
The 25/26 Champions League will follow the same format as last season. Last term, the competition is making a switch from the traditional format of 8 initial groups of 4 teams (a total of 32 teams), which progressed to knockout rounds (last 16 to the final), to a new 36-team tournament which instead consists of a single league competition where all competing clubs are ranked together.
The ‘Champions League league phase’ will see all the teams placed in the same ‘league’, each team will play 8 games instead of the 6 games teams played in the old group stage format.
The teams that finish in the top 8 of this league phase will automatically progress through to the round of 16, while the teams that finish in 9th-24th place will have to play a two-legged knockout tie to secure their path to the knockout stages. Teams that finish in 25th or lower are eliminated from UEFA competition and do not drop down to the Europa League.
The 8 winners of the play-off ties will progress to the round of 16 where they will face one of the top 8 finishers in the league phase. From the round of 16 onwards, the competition is the same as the traditional format, with quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final.

Champions League Tipsters & Expert Profiles
At ABC, we have a range of experts who cover their own speciality league, we have a Premier League expert, a La Liga expert, a Bundesliga expert, and so on. For Champions League nights, we utilise all of the experts to pick out bets and selections from various matches.
Ramis Ibrahim
Ramis Ibrahim has nearly 10 years of experience in football tipping, he has an excellent range of knowledge on both Premier League and European football, and is one of our best Champions League bet pickers. He often tips on matches involving Premier League sides, as this is his specialty league, but Ramis also contributes Champions League Gem Bets, acca tips and bet builder tips across many other matches.
Regular Free Expert Champions League Betting Tips
You’ll find free Champions League betting tips for every matchday on ABC. The new format, that was brought in last year, means there are even more Champions League matches each season, which means more expert tips on site throughout the tournament.
Champions League Accumulators
For the Champions League, we offer accumulator tips for every slate of fixtures. Typically, we will have a Tuesday Champions League acca, as well as a Wednesday Champions League acca each week that the tournament is on. Our Champions League accas usually consist of four or five tips, often between odds of 1.30-1.80 each, combining into an acca at around 4/1.
If you want a bigger or a smaller odds bet, you can easily combine our Champions League tips as you wish by using our API betting functionality on ABC.
Champions League Bet Builders
Our Champions League bet builders focus on the best matches each week, often matches involving Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona. However, we cover a wide range of other teams' matches with bet builder articles.
Our bet builders contain six tips, split into two different bet builders; one combining into a treble at odds of 2.50-3.00, and the other combining into a treble at odds of 7.00+. Like with our accas, you can mix and match the selections you like to your ABC betslip and bet directly on Andy’s Bet Club.
Champions League Betting Previews
Our betting previews for Champions League matches offer a more in-depth look at each team and the content around the match, while containing two or three high value single selections - that can be combined in the ABC betslip. Betting previews compliment our bet builder articles, but have added information including; predicted XI’s, a Cheat Sheet, referee stats, streaks, hit rates and form and tactics.
Champions League Quick Tips
Our quick tips articles are a mix between betting preview and bet builder. Champions League quick tips articles are a more digestible and scannable version of a betting preview, while still retaining all the key stats and trends. Quick previews include a two or three leg bet builder, with selections usually combining into odds of around 2.50-4.00.
Champions League Gems
Champions League Gem Bets are one of Andy’s Bet Club’s punters' favourite bets. A Gem is a single selection, usually a player prop, that has been mispriced by a bookie to hold far more value than can be found elsewhere. For example, Harry Kane could be priced at around 1.40 to have a shot on target against Man City across almost all bookmakers, but one bookie has him priced significantly higher at 1.80 - if research and data backs this selection up, this could be a Gem Bet.
We offer Gem Bets on the Champions League throughout the season when they crop up, with our experts always on the lookout for Gems. Keep up with all of our Gem Bets here.
How We Select Champions League Betting Tips
We utilise our experts across the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A to gather our Champions League betting tips. This method gives us a holistic view of each expert's thoughts and predictions, as they can cover the teams they know the most about.
Experts
Ramis Ibrahim is our Premier League expert and covers most Champions League matches involving Premier League sides. Ramis has almost 10 years of betting experience and possesses an excellent knowledge of European football too, so he is often on Champions League acca picking duty, too.
Our Bundesliga expert, Harry Nye, Serie A expert, Oliver Shaw, and La Liga expert, Dhiran Bains, also contribute regularly to our Champions League tips on ABC.
Acca Stats
If you need help picking your Champions League acca, the ABC Acca Stats tool is the perfect resource. You can filter the tool by market, hit rate, odds and competition, and add selections directly to your ABC betslip to place your acca on Andy’s Bet Club.
For example, you can go onto Tuesday’s fixtures, filter to Champions League, and adjust the hit rate to see only selections that have landed in at least four of the last five matches. From here, add the picks you like to your ABC betslip. Check out our ABC Accumulator Tips ahead of this week's Champions League matches.
Bet Builder Stats
Our Bet Builder Stats tool works in a similar way to Acca Stats, except you have to select an individual match and can filter results from there. From here, you can filter by odds, hit rate, and team and player markets you want to see.
For example, if i want to have a bet builder on Real Madrid v Liverpool, i’d go onto the Bet Builder Stats tool on ABC and select the match. I can then filter which selections i want to see, by odds, hit rate and market type, and from the results, add and remove picks to and from my ABC betslip until I'm happy with the bet builder. There’s no need to leave the website, as I can place the bet builder directly on Andy’s Bet Club with my Paddy Power, Betfair, bet365 or SkyBet account.
Bet Pack
Another way to build your Champions League bet is by using the ABC Bet Pack, which uses our very own ABC Probability algorithm to give a % of each market landing, for example, the algorithm might give a 78% chance of BTTS Yes in Arsenal v Barcelona.
Like Acca Stats and Bet Builder Stats, you can filter the Bet Pack by competition, market, odds and even minimum ABC probability, you can also use the Bet Pack for upcoming fixtures, up to four days ahead of kick-off. By clicking Show Stats on a match, you can see even more trends and statistics for the fixture, including a breakdown of each team's averages, results and more over the last five games.
Match Centres
For an even more in-depth breakdown of the key stats for a fixture, the ABC Match Centres are an excellent resource. In the Match Centre, you can analyse metrics such as goals averages, including over 2.5 goals and BTTS hit rates, as well as corner stats, card stats and both team shot and foul stats - plus even more.
As well as team stats and data, you can switch to see the latest player stats, perfect for betting on player prop lines. Toggle the button from Team to Player on the match you are looking into, and you’ll find goalscoring, tackles and goalkeeper saves stats, as well as player fouls, shots and shots on target stats - all of these data points are filterable to show season-long data or per 90 averages.
Key Champions League Stats & Trends
Last season saw the first edition of the new Champions League format, with more teams and a league phase, rather than groups. There were plenty of trends and stats to draw from the competition, that could help your Champions League betting this term.
Plenty Of Late Goals In The League Phase
During the league phase, a notable 23% of all goals scored came after the 75th minute. There were 108 goals scored between the 75th minute and the full-time whistle in the league phase.
In terms of betting angles to take from this into next season, consider in-play betting on the next goalscorer markets to be a potential route.
PSV’s Focus On Set Piece Goals
During the league phase last term, PSV scored 16 goals in total, and seven of these goals came from set pieces, while the competition average of set piece goals per team was around two. 44% of their goals in this phase came from set piece situations.
For PSV’s matches in the Champions League this season, consider backing their set piece takers in the assist markets, or even to score or assist. Or, there could be good value in backing PSV defenders for goals or shots, as they are likely to be active in the opposition box from corners and free-kicks.
Inter Rode Their Luck In The League Phase
On paper, Inter navigated the league phase with ease, conceding just one goal and winning six of their eight matches to progress with a minimum of fuss. However, a deeper look shows that despite conceding just once in this phase of the competition, their xGA was a huge 7.82.
This could be a market to watch next season, as the bookies may expect Inter to be difficult to score past once more, but looking at their xGA, this may not be the case. There could be some good value in backing teams to score against Inter.
Serhou Guirassy A Player To Watch
Serhou Guirassy finished as the joint-top scorer in the competition last season, netting 13 goals, joint with Raphinha. Guirassy also notched more xG than any other player in the competition, boasting an xG of 12.3 across his 14 appearances. Raphina, on the other hand, significantly outperformed his xG, scoring 13 goals from an xG of just 5.9.
Guirassy could be worth chancing in the top scorer market for the upcoming season, he will likely be available at a big price, so backing each-way could be a strong option. However, it’s recommended to stay clear of backing Raphinha in this market, as he’s unlikely to outperform his xG by this margin again.
Best Bookmakers for Betting on Champions League
Bet365 are the official sponsors of the Champions League, and therefore offer punters plenty of incentives to bet with them on Champions League nights. However, there are various other bookies that can also be worth betting with, depending on what kind of bet you are placing.
Best for Bet Builders
Bet365 and Paddy Power are a cut above when it comes to Champions League bet builders. Both bookies offer a feature that protects your player bets if your selection is subbed off, bet365’s is called Sub On Play On and Paddy Power’s is Super Sub. If the player you back is subbed off, your bet rolls on to the oncoming player, keeping your bet alive until the final whistle.
Given that bet365 are the official Champions League sponsors, they also provide generous odds boosts on bet builders for selected Champions League matches, sometimes up to a 25% boost on your Champions League bet builder.
Best for Accumulators
Again, bet365 are a very strong bookie to consider when backing a Champions League acca. Their Soccer Acca Boost can see you get up to a 100% winnings boost if your acca wins, on top of their already excellent odds. They also offer two goals ahead early payout, where if the team you back go two goals ahead at any point in the match, your selection wins.
SkyBet also offer this feature, as well as the popular Acca Freeze on accas, which allows you to freeze a leg of your 5+ fold acca if one of the selections is winning at any point in the match.
Best for Odds
Odds tend to differ between bookies, depending on which markets you are using and various other factors. It’s always best to look around for the best odds on the acca you want to back, which you can do easily on ABC.
With our API betting system, you can compare live odds between bet365, Paddy Power, SkyBet and Betfair, so you can easily see which bookie is offering best odds on your acca. For Champions League odds, bet365 are typically among the most competitive, that’s without taking into account their Soccer Acca Boost and potential bet builder odds boosts.
Best for Boosts & Free Bets
Most bookies offer a range of boosts for Champions League nights. You can usually get several odds boosts on each match across the board, but bet365, Paddy Power, SkyBet and Betfair also tend to offer Super Boosts on the key Champions League fixtures.
Super Boosts are often single player prop bets, usually a player to have a shot on target, that have been boosted generously from as low as 1.40 up towards 2.00. These boosts are available for new and existing customers and are a great way to get some value from the Champions League. Bet365 tends to offer the most generous boosts.
Free bets are available for new customers from bet365, Betfair, SkyBet and Paddy Power. If you sign up using one of their new customer free bet offers, you can bag some free bets for the Champions League. For existing customers, Paddy Power and bet365 have offered Money Back As Free Bet or Free Bet Builders on Champions League football in the past, so they are worth siding with.
