Leicester v Chelsea
📅
Kick Off: Saturday 23rd November at 12:30
🏆
Competition: Premier League
📺
Watch Live: TNT Sports
Leicester City v Chelsea is the game that kickstarts the Premier League gameweek after the international break, as Enzo Maresca brings his third-place side to the ground where he oversaw a Championship title campaign last season.
Marseca has enjoyed a good start to life at Stamford Bridge, only losing games to Manchester City and Liverpool so far, while keeping a large squad happy by heavily rotating between League and Cup competitions.
The Foxes are winless in three Premier League games, conceding seven goals in the process. There have been murmurings of unrest with new manager Steve Cooper, but he has them sitting above the relegation zone at present, which must be seen as a positive.
⭐ Leicester v Chelsea Best Bets
Chelsea are the favourites to win this game and we make that correct. They have already taken three points on the road at Wolves, Bournemouth and West Ham, and we would put Leicester at a similar level to those three teams. Both Villa and Forest have visited the King Power and come away with three points this season, but they did earn a draw against Spurs.
The home side have, however, scored in every home league game, so they clearly carry a goal threat at home. Chelsea have scored in every league away game, but have only kept two clean sheets from their 11 Premier League games.

🔍 Leicester v Chelsea Players to Watch
⚪ Cole Palmer
Cole Palmer has quickly become one of the most dangerous players in the Premier League. It has been a meteoric rise for the England international, after being deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester City.
His reputation for spectacular goals and defence-splitting passes precedes him, meaning opposition teams single him out for close attention.
Over the last five league games, he has won a total of 14 fouls. In four of those games, he won three or more fouls, a repeat can be backed at 3.0 here.
🔵 Harry Winks
Harry Winks captained Leicester last time out and has started nine of 11 games at the base of midfield so far this season. He was once tipped for the top, earning comparisons to Andres Iniesta and being part of the England set-up, but had to drop down to the Championship last season to get his career back on track.
He is likely to be the player occupying the same space as Cole Palmer for much of the game, and having touched upon Palmer’s ability to draw a foul, Winks looks a good bet to be carded. He has been shown three yellow cards this season at a rate of 0.32 per 90.

💻 Leicester v Chelsea Form and Tactics
Leicester are currently 15th in the Premier League table. FotMob’s xG table has them in 18th place, but with the same points tally of 10, so their lower position is only due to the overperformance or underperformance of other sides.
The Foxes have picked up seven points from their last five games. Four of those games were against bottom-half sides, the other a resounding 3-1 defeat against local rivals Nottingham Forest.
4-3-3 has been their preferred formation so far this campaign. They will have to cope without Brighton loanee Facundo Buonanotte, who has made a bright start to his spell at the King Power Stadium but is suspended for this one.
Chelsea may be 12 places above Leicester in the standings, but over the last five games they have picked up fewer points than their weekend opponents. Context is key, however, with three of those games against the current top five, and one against eighth-placed Newcastle.
Cole Palmer has been handed a free role in behind Nicolas Jackson, with Noni Madueke operating from the right, and the in-form Pedro Neto looking sharp down the left-hand side.
Preventing goals remains the issue, with just two clean sheets achieved in the Premier League. Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is a particular weak spot in our eyes.
