Oxford United average just over two yellow cards per 90 in Championship away games this season.

Stoke City actually beat that average, though, even in their home matches. They average 2.13 yellow cards per match at home, which is much higher than the league average. Indeed, the average total of yellows given at the Bet365 Stadium this season in the league is 4.19, above the chosen line here.

Taking the last few Stoke home matches, this is the number of yellow cards given: 3 (most recent), 5, 4, 7, 1, 6, 7.

Oxford’s away games have seen: 4, 9, 7, 3, 5, 3, with them being shown eight of nine cards given at Sheffield United.

Stoke average 5.67 corners per match in the league, so it should only take a regular performance here to hit the line selected.

However, there are lots of indicators that there is a greater than average opportunity for Stoke to gather corners. Firstly, their home corner win rate is much higher, 6.13 per match, and then there is Oxford's concession record to consider.

The Yellows have conceded 7.45 corners per match in the Championship so far this season, a huge figure in context. Away from home, this is even worse, 8.65 corners per match against.

They have conceded nine corners at Middlesbrough, 10 at Coventry, 10 at Sheffield United, and 12 at Leicester in their last four away games.

But whilst Pearson is very much well found in the fouls market, there is plenty of juice in his price to be fouled.

He is averaging 0.92 fouls against him per 90 this season, but he was fouled three times in 54 minutes in Stoke’s last match, and with Will Vaulks likely to come into Oxford’s midfield ahead of Jamie McDonnell, that increases the combative nature of his opponents in central midfield as well.

He is a longer price than the likes of Brodie Spencer, who only averages 1.22 fouls per 90, or Cam Brannagan, who averages 1 foul per 90 too.
