With Tottenham failing to entertain and failing to pick up points, there is a sour atmosphere in the ground, which could come out here if Sunderland frustrate the Lilywhites. One of Tottenham’s main issues is that they aren’t creating high-quality chances; their xG for the season sits at just 18.0 - only Burnley, Wolves, and Sunderland have a lower xG than Tottenham in the Premier League this term.

Sunderland are enjoying a season better than many would have expected or even hoped for, with Regis Le Bris leading the side to their current position of seventh in the Premier League.
