Wales (-2 Handicap)

Wales are 1.03 favourites to win here against one of the worst international sides in the world. Liechtenstein are the lowest ranked side in the group (205) and their opening two games in the group reflect that ranking. They’ve lost both games, without even scoring a goal - conceding five goals across these matches. Meanwhile, Wales have been free scoring under Craig Bellamy, scoring three against Kazakhstan in their only home game of qualifying so far.

Liechtenstein have now lost four matches in a row, failing to score in three of these, the aggregate scoreline over these four matches is 10-1 - they conceded three goals to San Marino in this run. They face a tougher task here than they have in these matches (v Kazakhstan, San Marino, Malta, North Macedonia), expect Wales to win by a few goals here.

Harry Wilson to Score Anytime

Harry Wilson scored four goals across his six matches during Wales’ Nations League campaign, making him their top scorer in the competition. He’s thrived under Craig Bellamy who has utilised Wilson in a variety of positions, including as a winger or a deep lying midfielder, as well as just in behind the striker.

Wales have shown their ability to score goals since Craig Bellamy took over, with the new manager bringing with him a much needed morale boost for the national side who are playing the most expansive football we’ve seen in recent memory. They scored three goals against Kazakhstan in their first qualifying game, as well as finding the back of the net against North Macedonia last time out - Wales scored nine goals across their six games in the Nations League B group stage.

Wilson can be a threat from open play but he’s also worth watching for set pieces. The 28-year-old is on free kicks for Wales and also stepped up to take a penalty against Montenegro during Wales’ Nations League B campaign. Wales are expected to win comfortably here, and Wilson holds plenty of appeal to get on the scoresheet.

Aron Sele to be Shown a Card

Aron Sele will line up in the middle of the park for Liechtenstein, he’s already been cautioned once during this qualification campaign, with that booking coming against North Macedonia in the first qualifying game. Sele contested eight duels and committed a foul in that game, following this up with a further 10 duels contested against Kazakhstan last time out.

Sele picked up one booking across Liechtenstein’s four games during their Nations League D campaign. Liechtenstein have picked up four yellow cards across their two qualifying games so far (2.0 per game) which would indicate that they could be frustrated again here.

Their card numbers were really strong during the Nations League D campaign, picking up 16 yellow cards across just four games (4.0 per game). Sele will be up against Harry Wilson who won 12 fouls across his six appearances during Wales’ Nations League B campaign (2.12 fouls won per 90).
