We round off my European bet builder articles back where we started them, in Italy for another massive game in Serie A as Juventus host Roma in Turin. This game is televised on BT sport so those interested can follow along live and tick off the selections as we go. After a very slow start to the season, Juve have finally kicked into gear and the performance against Chelsea in the Champions League in particular showed they are still a very capable outfit. As for Roma, well they are now of course managed by Jose Mourinho and made a very strong start as often the case with Jose but have fallen off somewhat in recent weeks. Should be a very interesting game between top quality sides and whenever Mourinho is involved there is always likely to be some controversy! Below are my favourite three picks using my trusty cheat sheet and I fancy the cards to be flying in Turin on Sunday evening. Scroll down to the bottom of the article to see my cheat sheet for the game which should help you with your own betting predictions.
Juventus v Roma Bet Builder tips
Federico Chiesa to have 1+ Shot on Target v Roma
We start proceedings off with a shot on target and it is difficult to look past the main man at Juve, Federico Chiesa. He is a phenomenal talent as he showed during this summer’s Euros and at 23 he looks to have a fantastic future ahead of him. He absolutely tore Chelsea apart in the Champions league a few weeks back and his pace and directness has proven to trouble even the most capable of defences. For me, he is a player who will be playing at one of Europe’s elite clubs in the next couple of years, not to say Juventus aren’t decent but he is clearly above their level in my opinion and a move to the Premier League would really suit him and his playing style
Referring to the cheat sheet you can see he ranks highly amongst the Juventus players. He averages 1.06 shots on target from the 2.38 shots he attempts, the second highest of any Juve player. Morata is still expected to miss out and Dybala isn’t considered 100% which means Chiesa may be deployed in the front two again as he was against Chelsea in the UCL. He is a very generous price and given how advanced he is expected to play I think looks the best pick of the bunch from a Juventus point of view.

Manuel Locatelli to be Booked v Roma
Locatelli is always a go to man for cards and that is the case once more in this one with the Juve midfielder likely to be in the thick of the action. He was mightily impressive in the Euros this summer due to his energetic and dynamic displays and that can often leave him prone to a card. He is of course technically gifted but what makes him so special is his physicality, he is an immense presser of the ball and is regularly involved in ground duels meaning he is involved in a lot of tackles, 2.60 a game to be precise. With his combative style, no surprise to see him feature so predominantly in the cheat sheet.
A very impressive career YCPG average of 0.34 is very tasty combined with his average fouls per game of 1.46 make him look an ideal selection in a game which I would expect to get fiery. He will be tasked with the job of keeping tabs on the talented Roma creative players such as El Shaarawy and Henrikh Mkhitaryan who are ranked amongst the most fouled players at Roma.

Gianluca Mancini to be Booked v Juventus
Another booking to finish off this Bet Builder with Roma defender Gianluca Mancini catching my eye in this one. He spoke this week about the relationship he has with Mourinho and how he is a manager who makes you want to give everything for him and constantly raise the bar on your individual performances.Usually when Jose asks you to give more it means bend the rules to some extent as I am sure some of the players who have played under him will testify. Mancini is a quality player and Mourinho is clearly trying to mould him into another one of the aggressive defenders he has managed previously (Materazzi, Cordoba, Rams, Chivu etc). He ranks second at the club for most fouls committed and is likely to face-off against a front two of Chiesa and Moise Keane who rank highly on the fouls drawn chart for Juventus.
