Haiti will grace the World Cup stage for the first time in 52 years this summer. Their one and only previous appearance on the global stage came in 1974, when they were drawn into a formidable group featuring Italy, Argentina and Poland. Things do not get any easier this time around, with Haiti housed in Group C alongside Brazil, Morocco and Scotland.

🌍 How did Haiti qualify for the 2026 World Cup?

Haiti navigated two rounds of CONCACAF qualifying to secure their place at the 2026 World Cup. They came through a tough second-round group before advancing to the final phase, where they beat Costa Rica for the first time in World Cup qualifying and overcame Nicaragua to stamp their ticket to this summer’s showpiece - ending a 52-year wait.

Across both rounds of qualifying, Haiti scored 20 goals across their 10 matches. Four of the Haitians' six victories during qualifying came alongside a clean sheet. It should also be noted that seven of Haiti’s 10 World Cup qualifiers featured over 2.5 goals.

👔 Who is the Haiti manager at the World Cup 2026?

French coach Sebastien Migne, 53, was appointed Haiti manager in early 2024 following previous spells with Congo, Kenya and Equatorial Guinea, along with a stint as assistant manager at Cameroon. His role in guiding Haiti to the 2026 World Cup is made all the more remarkable by the fact he achieved the feat without ever travelling to the country, on account of ongoing conflict.

Migne generally lines Haiti up in a compact 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1, prioritising shape and organisation.

🔎 Who are Haiti's key players to watch at World Cup 2026?

Duckens Nazon

Duckens Nazon is Haiti’s all-time leading scorer with 44 international goals, and he was by far their most influential player throughout qualifying. He finished as joint-top scorer across the entire CONCACAF qualifying campaign with six goals. Nazon’s hat-trick against Costa Rica alone demonstrated just how deadly he can be in the final third. Now 32 and playing his club football in Iran with Esteghlal, leading the line for his country at the World Cup will be the crowning moment of his career.

Wilson Isidor

Wilson Isidor is arguably the most exciting addition to the squad. The 25-year-old Sunderland striker, born in France to Haitian parents, only committed his international future to Haiti in March 2026. He did not take long to make his mark for Les Grenadiers, scoring in his second appearance in a 1-1 friendly draw with Iceland. Given he has spent much of the season starting from the bench, Isidor still registered a respectable return of six goals in 32 Premier League appearances for Sunderland this term. His pace and physicality are likely to pose problems for Haiti’s Group C foes.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde

Like the aforementioned Isidor, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde brings Premier League experience to the group that few of his team-mates can match. Having previously represented France up to Under-21 level, he opted to switch allegiance to Haiti last year and went on to feature in each of their final six World Cup qualifiers, registering an assist in a 3-0 win away at Nicaragua.

Bellegarde could also be one to watch in the card markets, having been booked in three of his eight appearances for Haiti, including friendly fixtures against Tunisia and Iceland in March of this year.

Best Free Bets, Offers & Betting Sites for World Cup 2026

The World Cup is the best time to create a new bookmaker account because the Bookmaker Offers are much better. Andy and the Andy's Bet Club experts have tried and tested the Free Bets, and here are their favourites:

Haiti are in the group of outsiders priced at 500/1. No one is giving them much chance of making a splash.

No. They'll probably have to beat Scotland in the opening game to get out of the group, Brazil and Morocco should prove too difficult for them to handle.

They're in Group C. They take on Scotland, Brazil and Morocco.

Haiti v Scotland: Sunday 14th June at 2am BST.

Brazil v Haiti: Saturday 20th June at 1.30am BST.

Morocco v Haiti: Wednesday 24th June at 11pm BST.

They could bring in Duckens Nazon and shuffle the players around a bit. Without Bellegarde's creative influence, it'll be much tougher to create chances for Wilson Isidor.

Penalties will likely be Duckens Nazon, Wilson Isidor or Mondy Prunier. While set pieces will be taken between Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Leverton Pierre.
