3/1 Poland v Netherlands Bet Builder Tip
Bet builder predictions that are eligible for Paddy Power Super Sub will be marked with this emoji ‘🔄️’.
🛑 Denzel Dumfries to commit 2+ fouls
Denzel Dumfries averages 2.07 fouls committed per 90 minutes and has registered two in five of his last seven games.
He’s likely to come up directly against Nicola Zalewski, who was fouled in his last game against Turkey and fouled twice in Poland’s final play-off game against Wales.
🎯 Memphis Depay to have 3+ shots
In the absence of a real quality traditional centre forward, Depay is leading the line for the Dutch and isn’t afraid to take a shot or three. In his last game against Iceland he took seven shots and managed four shots against Canada in the friendly before, despite only being on the pitch for 60 minutes.
He averages 3.82 shots per game and this isn’t restricted to just the lesser teams. Despite a 4-0 defeat to France in qualification, he managed six shots in that game too. Poland will be on the defensive for the most part and Depay will certainly get chances to shoot.
🧤 Poland goalkeeper to make 4+ saves
The Dutch have got into a groove and have scored 19 goals in their last five matches. They hit eight shots on target against Iceland and 11 against Canada in their recent friendlies.
With Poland’s injury struggles and lacking a focal point, they will be under pressure for a lot of this game. They were perhaps fortunate to win their game against Hungary and faced seven shots on target.
24/1 Poland v Netherlands Longshot

🎯 Memphis Depay to have 2+ shots on target
Depay landed three shots on target in his last game against Iceland and two against Canada despite completing only 60 minutes. He averages 2.07 shots on target per game and is in prime form right now. His current contract situation at his club will also mean he’s extra motivated to put himself in the shop window.
Despite not being a traditional centre forward, Poland conceded three shots on target from Kai Havertz when they played Germany in a recent friendly and two to Kieffer Moore in their final play-off game against Wales.
🩹 Xavi Simons to be fouled 2+ times
Touted to be one of the young stars of the tournament, Xavi Simons’ trickery has seen him fouled three times against Iceland in his last game and four times against Scotland, despite being subbed off early in both.
He was also fouled five times against Italy in one of his earlier caps, having made 14 to date, and he’ll relish the chance to test out this vulnerable Polish defence.
⚽ Virgil van Dijk to score anytime 🔄️
VVD has nine goals in 68 Netherlands caps and a potential penalty-taker. Given the recent attacking form of the Dutch – scoring 18 goals in their last 5 games – and with the likes of Simons and Depay causing problems in the box, the Poles could give away a penalty given they committed 120 fouls in qualifying, the 9th-most.
Combined with this, he is a constant aerial threat from corners and is a tidy finisher. The Netherlands took 58 corners during their qualifying campaign, the 9th-highest. A little less likely than the two above selections but still a generous price for someone who is more than capable of netting for the Oranje in this tournament.
