Euro 2024 is nearly upon us and Croatia will be hoping to replicate a glimpse of their international success at the World Cup tournaments as the Euros have proved a tougher task for them to progress into the latter stages.
Croatia have only reached the quarter finals twice during Euros finals (1996 and 2008) from their five tournament appearances, and have crashed out in the Round of 16 in two consecutive editions, compared to their second and third finishes in the last two World Cups.
If you want to keep up to date with Croatia’s progression throughout the tournament and get access to the best tips across the Vatreni’s group stage efforts, Andy’s Bet Club is the place to be. We’ll also be sharing Euro 2024 predictions across the whole competition.

Croatia find themselves in arguably the toughest group of the Euros group stages, with the likes of Spain, Italy and Albania fancying their chances to take the top two spots. Croatia were likely pretty disappointed that they had to settle for second place in Group D of qualifiers, narrowly missing out by a point to Turkiye, but despite dominating possession in nearly all of their qualifying efforts, the Vatreni struggled to find the finishing product.
Croatia had 65%+ possession in seven or their eight matches, including 75% and 72% against Latvia and Wales, yet only managed 13 goals – 1.63 goals per 90. All seven of the teams above them in the outrights markets registered at least 2.00 goals per 90 during qualifiers and seemingly had little trouble in converting chances, which is what makes the ultimate difference.
But Croatia certainly weren’t without a goal threat. They racked up an impressive average of 18.00 shots per 90 with a very respectable 7.63 hitting the target. Andrej Kramaric was a pivotal part in generating those figures with the Hoffenheim striker averaging 3.69 shots per 90 with 2.33 hitting the target – he is a noteworthy player in the shots on target markets. Kramaric also netted four goals across those eight matches and has enjoyed a fairly prolific campaign in the Bundesliga.
High corner totals seemed to be a trend throughout Croatia’s qualifying efforts with an average of 9.63 total corners per 90 during their journey to Germany. They showed equal ability in gaining and conceding corners, and considering the great attacking presences like Italy and Spain accompanying them in the group stages, this could be a solid angle.
Croatia are renowned for their defensive organisation and strength, conceding only four goals in qualifying and one goal during the 2022 World Cup group stages, we would suggest caution in the total goals markets during Croatia’s outings as they’re the masters of getting those snatch and grab victories in a low scoring affair – perhaps keep an eye on under markets in the goals department.
With so much footballing action happening in such quick succession, it’s difficult to keep track of the best selections and player markets across all the groups and just as easy to burn through your Euro 2024 bankroll.
