Everton v Southampton
Kick Off: Sunday 18th May at 12:00
Everton take on Southampton in the last ever game at Goodison Park in what is sure to be an emotional affair for David Moyes and the blue half of Merseyside. The Toffees have played at the stadium for 133 years so it is a pivotal moment in the club's history.
Southampton are already relegated but avoided the embarrassment of finishing with the joint-lowest points tally in Premier League history with their 0-0 draw against Manchester City last time out, taking them over Derby County’s infamous 11-point haul.
⭐ Everton v Southampton Best Bets
Everton will be up for it here and are strong favourites to win the game up against a Southampton side that have only won one of their 18 Premier League away games this season.
Southampton have picked up 88 yellow cards in the Premier League this season (2.44 per game), only Bournemouth (94) and Chelsea (96) have picked up more cautions than the Saints this season.
The away side also commit fouls with regularity, they rank in the top three sides in the Premier League for fouls committed per game (12.3). Southampton went over those averages in the initial meeting between the sides which saw the Saints commit 14 fouls and pick up four yellow cards.
Despite being relegated, Southampton have picked up 2+ cards in each of their last two games and have received at least one caution in each of their last five.

🔍 Everton v Southampton Player to Watch
🔵 Jarrad Branthwaite
Branthwaite has had to step up for Everton in recent weeks with injuries to James Tarkowski and Jake O’Brien leaving him partnered with Michael Keane. He’s been hauled down in each of his last six Premier League games which lines up with when Tarkowski picked up his injury, suggesting that this situation has meant that Branthwaite is taking a more active role in engaging with opposition strikers. He’ll be up against Kamaldeen Sulemana here who is averaging 1.42 fouls committed per 90 in the Premier League this season.
