Wirtz will be hopeful of capitalising on a West Ham defence that has conceded an average of 4.25 shots on target per away match in this season’s Europa League.

An abundance of corners have been taken in Leverkusen’s home matches in this season’s Europa League, with an average of 9.3 corners won per game. The hosts have forced plenty of corners, earning an average of 6.5 corners per match. Alonso’s men have failed to avoid leaking many corners on home soil, conceding an average of just 2.8 corners per home game.

West Ham’s away matches in the Europa League have seen masses of corners, with an average of 8.3 corners being taken per match. Moyes’ men have forced their fair share of corners, taking an average of 5.5 corners per game, while their corners against figure remains low, allowing 2.8 corners per away match on average.
